Greg,

What beautiful work! You have captured the magic of the scene. It's all about light and line, I think. Nicely done!

Best,
Jon

Sweet image. I like the way the cable fades away to the right with the colorful swirls of wire.

if you startle a tortoise by picking it up, it loses it's water reserves which is almost certainly fatal in dry spells like they're having this year.
so we were careful to look and not touch.
this was the second of two tortoises we saw during our mojave desert trip this summer.
he was set on crossing the road so we stood back and ensured that cars would see us and slow down.

thanks for the comments :)

What a perfect shot! I love the composition - the turtle is perfectly placed, the DOF, and the yellow line leading you into the shot. Excellent job!

The people on the foreground little bit distract. I think the cropping of the image's bottom only improves it. But any way I like your image. Your colors are very soft.

lbstone (Brandon Stone) said 1 year ago:

Naaaah... they don't distract. If anything, the tiny fragile people make that structure in the distance seem very imposing. It's all about scale to my eyes.

Pixim (Eric) said 1 year ago:

Je suis tout a fait d'accord avec Brandon, ces personnages sont nécessaires pour donner toute la dimension à cette image. Superbe photo, très intéressante. Salutations.

Pixim (Eric) said 1 year ago:

I forgot to do to the translation…

I am completely of agreement with Brandon, these characters are necessary to give all dimension to this image. Superb photograph, very interesting. Greetings.
