The topic is really interesting, and the photo is very clever.
I really like the intention of this crop, leaving the centre of the helix near a corner; however, this crop seems a bit too tight for me at the bottom and left sides.

it took me a bit to figure out what this was from the thumbnail. after larger view of course, it was quite clear. i like to composition but am not sure about the background color (behind the fan). however, as far as rust, it's an excellent example.
