Encantador momento, solo me estorba algo que hay detrás de las barcas.

Beautifully peaceful shot.

Did you experiment with alternative crops like moving the boats further up the frame or tweaking the colours?

Hanssie (Hans Stellingwerf) added a critique 7 months ago:

Peaceful, very well composed (like the horse I saw before), another beauty.....

Lovely mood Amy. I would love to shoot in such an environment. My only critique is that the horizon is not level...dunno if you noticed that :)

warreagle (Amy Warr) said 7 months ago:

thanks Pradeep. I did notice and thought I had straightened it out. Must have moved my mouse again or something. Thanks again.

boyd added a critique 7 months ago:

I like the silhouette of the boathouse here, Amy. The crispness of the roofline seems to make the moodly fog everywhere else seem that much, well, moodier ... well done again, it must have been a great morning out.

AnaGaztelu (Ana Gaztelu) added a critique 7 months ago:

Falla en la horizontal, pero es muy bonita.

très jolie photo mais elle serait peut-être encore mieux si l'horizon était plus droit

@Jon, I can't take credit for the light, but perhaps for catching it. :)

@Pradeep, thanks for the critique. I too would like for it to be sharper...I'll have to reshoot next time I'm at my parents'.

Thanks for the input.

boyd added a critique 8 months ago:

I agree with Jon and Pradeep on the quality of the colours - great! Also agree that a little sharper on the blades might take it to the next level. Nice treatment of this subject.

remirol (Andy Lorimer) added a critique 8 months ago:

Great shot, I agree could be a tad sharper :) Keep the shutter clicken

Beautiful pic Amy, looks like you are on a roll.
Since you asked for a critique - If you had used an S curve it would have made the horse stand out more. One more thing...i know am nitpicking here...there is a black spot on the right edge of the photo. :)

warreagle (Amy Warr) said 7 months ago:

The black spot is another horse I cropped out...guess I didn't get all of it. Thanks for the input. I haven't done much with curves so I will try it out.

BeppeRdam (Giuseppe Moscarda) added a critique 7 months ago:

Good shot, maybe I would have composed differently, giving a little bit more space to the ground and focusing on the horse.

A main object just in a part of the space in this picture is so nice done, beautiful.....

This is way better Amy, I like this. Oh how I wish I could shoot in such an environment :)

warreagle (Amy Warr) said 7 months ago:

I am very blessed indeed. I work at a camp and this is one of the horses we use for trail rides and the pasture is toward the back of the property.

Very colorful and thats all. There is no subject and a white spot in the middle of an image destruct a lot.

JimiThing (Jim Machajewski) added a critique 7 months ago:

Abstract indeed, but not much here. The blown-out section is too much of a distraction and the composition is too centered IMHO.

Amy,

Not entirely sure what you are trying to accomplish here. I think the flame is overexposed and out of focus - maybe I am missing the point - I frequently do.

Best,
Jon

Great attempt. I have quite a bit of the same concept. Maybe I will post it.

Amy,

This is good! Like the dof and area of focus you have chosen here - really works quite well, I think. Your composition is strong and works well. I might have straightened it just a little as the fret in the upper right of the photo is not squared up.

Best,
Jon

I love the colors of this photo...the fuzzy wing may take away a little bit...but I still think this is a awesome photo!!

warreagle (Amy Warr) said 8 months ago:

yeah i think the fuzziness is b/c it was taken in a lower quality before I knew how to use my camera settings...

remirol (Andy Lorimer) added a critique 8 months ago:

A little fuzzy but with a wing and a prayer it could get sharper :) keep the shutter clicken
