I really like this shot-the POV and the lighting especially-good one!

tuscanice (Jo) said 1 year ago:

Thank you Paul:)

radio city music hall, perfect angle, the only thing that I would remove from this photo is the glow effect, about all the rest, I think that is one of the better photos of this topic.

I have only one thing that I don't see at all, the lens flare, I think that it's so distracting, but the hole image, the concept i mean, it's so good.
I like the idea so much.

Magic and well done -- beautiful and strange as a Bee Gees cover ;-))

Thank you:) I was debating on this one or one just in hi-key and left in color. I guess I'll upload that one so you can see the difference.

Very nice work.

Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:

Great work Jo - I think I like this one just a tad bit more than the other one. This one has a sense of drama and more sensuality to me. The term "superstar" fits how I feel this photo is portrayed!

tuscanice (Jo) said 1 year ago:

Thanks Ron & Sher....
Sher, that's exactly why I think I prefer this one. Though it seems harsher, there is a more sensual appeal to it.

annabc (Anna Cameron) added a critique 1 year ago:

I think the 'sensual appeal' is largely to do with the extra focus on the lips, and all that wild hair! It is a great image - I wish I had one of me as interesting as that! Keep playing with PS...great things come from it.

the red i think is so much saturated, and i would preferred the sky in B&W too, not only the red in the chimney, is even on the faces of the people and it seems so unreal, but i like the overall effect.

Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:

Lovely work with selective saturation Jo. Somehow the entirety of the photo is too "busy" for me. The sky or the buildings would have made a great photo all by themselves. All together my eye wanders from grass, to buildings, to sky, to brilliant yellows and never is quite sure where to settle.

tony (Tony Hall) added a critique 1 year ago:

An amazing looking place - I presume it's by the sea with some pleasant views in the other direction?
Overall a startling effect - the yellow (umbrellas) drags the eye into the frame from the right, the blue (sky) is glimpsed, the buildings with the balconies momentarily catch the imagination 'what's the view like?', the dabs of red (chimney, people) distract - why red, why these objects, what's the relationship?
The questions begin. What's the significance of the yellow? How do you envisage this photograph being used? Is photography just about aesthetics?
But, look at the sky, those clouds, what a wonderful day. Wouldn't it be lovely to be just sitting outside looking into the distance.

mosesport (Moses) added a critique 1 year ago:

I agree it seems very hard for me to focus on one thing. My eyes are pulled all over the place. A great shot nonetheless. The clouds are awesome!

joka (Johannes Kapp) added a critique 1 year ago:

the whole pic is a little bit turbulent.
But: nice scene, good processing!

Great concept, and a very unique shot! I like the fact that the hands lack detail-like Andrew, i am not sure about the rings (but i guess thats what makes it Duo!)
Awesome work!

byutanner (Jason Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:

Having seen them both, I think I like this one more just to throw in a vote. Great job. Very creepy feel to the shot.

chromadreams (David) added a critique 1 year ago:

this is so much better than the other, but i think the same than before, better without the jewels

tuscanice (Jo) said 1 year ago:

Thanks everyone. Your critiques are much appreciated:)

dcrphotography (Daniel) added a critique 1 year ago:

Interesting effect but, I feel, it is overdone. The rings and fingernails do not bled at all with the unnatural looking fingers. MB if the color elements were oversaturated they would mesh better with the greyscale fingers.

awesome shot of a big city-great PP on this one!

tuscanice (Jo) said 1 year ago:

Thanks Paul. This was taken from the top of the World Trade Center in August of 2001. There was a restaurant on the top floor called Windows of the World that used to spin around.
