In some ways I like the subtle colours of the sunset, but overall I think this image is a little too dull. I think losing approximately half the sky and making this a panorama might help.

And the horizon is tilted just enough to bother me.

I think a vertical crop with half of the foreground, and with the dark clouds in the sides removed will work. Love the colors and the sky, i would hate to see it cropped. And yeah, as Heath said, a panorama will work too :)

Good effort overall, I think. Colors and light are good - comp, as mentioned, could be stronger. Keep the submissions coming!

I agree to an extent with the compositional comments above. However I like the emptiness, because for me it suggests a story about a usually busy beach waking up in the morning. You have captured enough detail in the sand to suggest lots of footprints (?) and the very subtle colours leading to blue sky work for me quite well.
