I like the texture of the background. Besides this, I don't really know what I can say about this shot.

veronicalynne (veronica lynne) added a critique 1 year ago:

I think this is a very nice macro shot. I'm uncertain of the definition of minimalism so I can't really speak to that topic. However, the colors are rich and I too like the texture in the background.

spherop (Daniel Newman) said 1 year ago:

i would venture that minimalism is defined mostly by simplicity ...artful use of it (hopefully ;))

psychodudu (Andrew Parker) added a critique 1 year ago:

If I could be so bold. I would suggest that you clone out the black parts in the background. I see what you are trying to achieve, but it's so blurred that it needs to be a uniform white, imho. Otherwise, a fantastic idea, and I praise your ingenuity.

Nice detail in the photo.

This is the only topic, where it does not matter, that I feel sad, looking at your image. And this is what happend. So I can only say: Good job!

xandros (Alexandre I.) added a critique 1 year ago:

the pic is very nice but i personally dont see a lot of decay in it...

I partially agree with the last post other than the sticks on the stump on the water. I'd like to see a lower perspective. But good job.

Very nice use of DOF. I would suggest you crop the left side of the image to where the first pillar begins. It would be a different image, but I find the left side of image distracting.

no - it isn't a classic game scenario that i chose. could explore that too.

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like this game, maybe in "vintage" it will be better ;)

spherop (Daniel Newman) said 1 year ago:

Hmm ... good point ...can it be switched?

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) added a critique 1 year ago:

Yes I think so spherop ;)

iko (Olivier Petit) added a critique 1 year ago:

It's really working well for this theme I think. This picture is about light and shadow in more way than just the obvious one with this game of black and white.
Really like the texture and the dof.
