Thanks for your comments.
It's looking out of a normal window at 'porthole' windows at an art gallery.
I was using the line in the middle to make a 'reflection' below the line.
spherop (Daniel Newman) added a critique 1 year ago:
i like the composition - it is unique and i like to look at this as more of an abstract...
TheAntipodes (Menno van Zaanen) added a critique 8 months ago:
The picture of the wall is really nice, but the black line (which I guess is part of the window frame) really distracts. The repetition of the "windows" and the lamps with different sizes is really interesting and the shadows in the windows are beautiful.

GREAT compo
GREAT catch
LOVE IT

I think this is a very well seen photo - would probably fit better into the abstract topic, but a great capture no matter where you put it.
Best,

Nice lighting and angle. The figure here is very ghostlike.
snyper (Rui de Almeida Cardoso) added a critique 1 year ago:
Nice angle, bur the light inside the house is very strong. Its a very strong image

mysterious ... a bit haunting. i like it. very successful image.

Love this.
TheAntipodes (Menno van Zaanen) added a critique 8 months ago:
I just love the path in this picture. It was unexpected (when I scrolled down to see the full picture) and it has a very nice texture. The light gives this picture a nice warm glow, whereas the path gives me the feeling of a wet and coldish night.

i would love to see this flipped concept but with losing the bottom part of the image - ie., the wheels and above...
boughey (Adrian Boughey) added a critique 1 year ago:
Creating a square crop without the bike but leaving the shadow would be a winner for me.
Ludimaginary (Richard Vantielcke) said 1 year ago:
Thanks for your comments !
I'm looking forward to get the opportunity to take a new photo with a frame foncusing on the shadow only.
aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) added a critique 10 months ago:
My two cents worth of comment would be to crop out the bottom as Ludimaginary suggests or even a bit lower to include approximately half of the wheels but not any of the backgound buildings. On my monitor I can get this effect by scrolling up as high as I can and using the bottom of my monitor as a means of testing the crop.
leaves (Giancarlo Rinna) added a critique 10 months ago:
the lower half of the photo hurts my head v.v - i think this photo would be better without flippage
but you certainly draw more attention to the shadow this way
nice work

gorgeous. love it the way it is ..but also would be curious to see one that is desaturated somewhat ... again this is luscious nothing off or overdone ...just curiosity. nice.

Superb colours and ligting.
Nothing to really critique.
Congratulations!
Jondor (Gerhard Hoogterp) added a critique 1 year ago:
A stunning image. Mostly symmetrical but for the flowers which gives it a bit of tension.
As for two minor nitpicks; a little more dof so the right flower would be sharp too and maybe a tent to control the reflections on the vase.
aperture (Suvir Venkataraman) added a critique 1 year ago:
Excellent tones. I like the crispness of the image. Though the harsh reflections on the vase are a bit distracting, so a slightly more diffuse light source might work better.
extrajection (David Hawkins-Weeks) added a critique 1 year ago:
Superb lighting and love the symmetry. Very difficult to find anything that could be improved upon, would endorse Jondor's comments above, beautiful work!

I like the composition (what about a straight square format?). But i tend to firmly disagree with the processing: too orange, "melts" the contrast and the tones together.
Sébastien.
dcrphotography (Daniel) added a critique 1 year ago:
I don't think the orange toning gives this a vintage look.
jeninja-inja (Jenine Lindeque) added a critique 1 year ago:
nice one paul, trains always have such a liminal quality about them.
spherop (Daniel Newman) added a critique 1 year ago:
would love to see this with more of a sepia coloring...a little less bright - more understated. i do think the capture really evokes an age past though.
odon (Odon Dias) added a critique 1 year ago:
Nice. This makes me think about the original lighting.

I lacks a bit of sharpness, but it looks inspired by Chinese aquarel art.
psychodudu (Andrew Parker) added a critique 1 year ago:
I'm not really sure the idea of minimalism includes real life subjects. It's supposed to be clean lines and fairly abstract really.
bbonner (Bonner Photographic) added a critique 1 year ago:
I think this is a fine example of minimalism in the natural world. Same with the sharpness, the bird looks sharp to me. I enjoyed this image and appreciate the effect the white background has on the image over all.
cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:
Great photo for minimalism. Nice colors in the bird as well!

This is very well composed, but colors and light are a bit "poor".
This is so calm, I like it so much.

I would be curious to see a black and white treatment...
agi500 (John Agoncillo) added a critique 1 year ago:
Seems a little too busy for me but it's a very nice photograph. I wonder what it would look like if you cropped most of the bottom off so that you'll only see some of the pillars on the sides (thereby adding perspective) and then have the building (or whatever that is) in the middle. I think it would give more focus on the subject.
bbonner (Bonner Photographic) added a critique 1 year ago:
The vertical lines and pastel (not blown out) sky work well for me - it creates a sense of contrast and struggle that makes the image more appealing. It is meant to capture the nature of an industrial setting, so I don't expect softness and none is given in the subject.

I like the texture of the background. Besides this, I don't really know what I can say about this shot.
veronicalynne (veronica lynne) added a critique 1 year ago:
I think this is a very nice macro shot. I'm uncertain of the definition of minimalism so I can't really speak to that topic. However, the colors are rich and I too like the texture in the background.
spherop (Daniel Newman) said 1 year ago:
i would venture that minimalism is defined mostly by simplicity ...artful use of it (hopefully ;))
psychodudu (Andrew Parker) added a critique 1 year ago:
If I could be so bold. I would suggest that you clone out the black parts in the background. I see what you are trying to achieve, but it's so blurred that it needs to be a uniform white, imho. Otherwise, a fantastic idea, and I praise your ingenuity.
cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:
Nice detail in the photo.
Great pic. That dog is so cute too!
