I've looked at this several time before commenting. It is a wonderfully intriguing image. Great capture. Not sure I would change anything, but if you have anymore image at the top, you might drop the face more towards the center of frame, show a little more forehead and a little less chinroom.

Very Dramatic. Lighting adds alot to the mood of the image.

I really like the composition of this shot. It really speaks to the tone captured. I would not change a thing. Excellent use of light.

The sky is beautiful... i love the color contrast of the sky
diezel99 added a critique 11 months ago:
This is a beautiful image that can only be improved by removing the bottom 2/3 of the gloden grass. It draws way too much attention to the bottom of the picture. Other than that it is breathtaking. nice job.

i like these sunbeams. fantastic!

only a litle bit cropping and less bleu would be a great photo i think..
phocrastinating (Prasanth V) added a critique 8 months ago:
Great job. I think the sky should be more colorful though.

Wow, I really love this subject, which is perfect in b&w. It's a good lesson in resilience!

i like the concept very much! lovely idea!
silenzioso (alberto) added a critique 11 months ago:
great composition, perhaps I would have added a little noise, or I would have removed it completely.

I love what you've done with this.....my only criticism might be that the top right corner is too dark for the rest of the image. Nicely done though!

Ooh, I really like this as well. Looks like a storm is comin.
mizztech (Maria Little) added a critique 11 months ago:
like it, the way you treated it gives the image a vintage look..
like the strokes round the image as wel :)
no critics for this one ;)
silenzioso (alberto) added a critique 11 months ago:
great! can you tell us what is the post processing, in particular on clouds?
xianart (Christian Stalley) said 11 months ago:
the processing isn't nearly as complex as it looks: convert to quadtone using ken lee's quadtones, a multiply layer for the sky and a bit of the waster, a screen layer for the sail, a high pass layer for the sail, and about 3 patterns layers, set at around 8005 scale, on overlay or multiply blend mode, at around 10 or less opacity.
tadah!

I like the diagonals you found, and also the water reflection, but... not it's position. It's too centered in my opinion. It would work better if you would reframe it more towards one of the corners.
TerynYancey (Teryn Yancey) added a critique 11 months ago:
I agree that that it should be moved to one of the corners...
silenzioso (alberto) added a critique 11 months ago:
I think it would be better with a bit more contrast..

great... but I cannot understand if the out of focus in the low part of the photo is intentional or it is an error..

I agree with MMeye regarding the detail. Infrared allows us to see details we typically take for granted in a new and different way. More often than not, the effects of using infrared are lost on large, simple scenes, so MMeye is correct. Can't wait to see what you come up with that in mind...keep 'em coming!
marcouet52 (Mario Arcouette) added a critique 11 months ago:
Previous comment stand, lack of focus and subject.
just as a curiosity did you use an infrared lens or manipulation in ps (infrared enhancement of the photo) is not clear in my mind as the technic use.
Thanks
silenzioso (alberto) added a critique 11 months ago:
I'm sorry, but I cannot say in english: credo sarebbe stato meglio salvare di più i particolari: così sembra una foto invertita e un po' sovraesposta. però è affascinate!

Thank you all for taking the time to comment, critique and suggest. This is photoshop work for the infrared - my first attempt. I have a bit to learn but wanted initial ideas and critism. Thanks again!
TerynYancey (Teryn Yancey) added a critique 11 months ago:
i think there is a lack of focus. nice contrast. not sure i like the infrared. would love to see the detail of the trees
This is wonderful. The skin tone and the contrast are lovely. My preference would be to see a tiny bit more breathing room to the right of his eye before the shadow, but I'll bet shifting him in the light would cast less light on his left eye, which is exposed perfectly!!!
Lovely.
