A too strong presence of the background, IMHO. A shallower DOF would have given more impact on your main subject, even though the girl is a bit distracting.

Nice work - love all the details you have included - it's a street shot, right?! Let's see the street and feel the street where this man is working - well done.

By the way, I just saw your pp version and I believe you, when you say that you share my thoughts. As a matter of fact, on this pp version you tried to avoid the troubles I spoke about. You did right, and IMHO, this pp version is better. ;-)
