Very cool! So what's the story behind this one - inquiring minds want to know???

Cheers,

I went to Cuba last year for holiday. In Havana, this man was shooting pics with this old camera for tourists. The original photo is very ugly: lots of disturbing elements and people. I thought: this men, who is struggling to survive, deserves a nice place in my personal photogalary :)
So, I began postprocessing... :p

Tthis is the origianl (it's so ugly it isn't worth to add on Vazaar): www.edelsmidhansmulder.nl/Sufkipje/HPIM1271.JPG

Oh btw, thanks for your comment, Jon!

Tamara,

The original rocks! It's a great street scene - truly. I prefer it over the one you've submitted.

Best,
Jon

Hmmmm... in that case I did all that work for nothing ;)

I think the original one is to busy, especialy the other man photographing in the red shirt is bothering me. I wish he was standing not behind the Cuban photographer, but instead of that way more to the left.

If you are interested (I think now it's for you inaccessible to go there), you can find lots of more photo's made in Cuba on my website.

I love the original. Love the colours.

Me too!! The original with a little cropping and little burning/dodging, way better!!

I still think the picture is a bit busy (maybe I listened too much to all the comments given to me on Vazaar ;). But alright, I cropped a little and added some more contrasts etc. I have to admit: now I get used to this image, I begin to like it :)

Ana, Beamer and Jon: thanks for your positive comments.
