Cool photo. I'm still trying to work out what you've done here!

well done!
(I would like to see this view reduced to the reflection!)

Very nice. After reading the comments and looking again, I agree that it would be stronger with the building in focus.

Mysight, yes this is snow.

Hello Joan,
This is a really artistic rendering. I love the dreamy look to the photo. Just goes to show that a silhouette can be used to capture beauty. Nice work.

Nice work - I agree with most of the comments above - the tonal range is good - I think perhaps it could be darkened overall a tad.
A pleasure to view

Ok i must say nice work!!! Nice shot! I think this one must be featurd!
eggplant (Matt) added a critique 1 year ago:
Very nice antique feel here. My only suggestion is that the contrast is just the slightest bit flat. Other than that, great shot.
psychodudu (Andrew Parker) added a critique 1 year ago:
This is gallery material. I can't think of a higher compliment. Beautiful, humanistic, and tells a thousand tales. This is right up there with all the very best that portraiture has to offer.

Nice picture. There is perhaps too much sky. But I really like the composition.
caryscott (Cary Scott) added a critique 1 year ago:
This is a beautiful sunset. My only suggestion would be to have the tree and sun off to the left or right.
chrislaw2007 added a critique 1 year ago:
I do like this, but I also agree with the previous post that you might crop this so that the sun and tree at the left or right - this would make the image more dramatic. I'd also suggest reorienting the horizon by about a degree so that its exactly at right angles to the sides of the frame.
But it is a very atmospheric shot.

However the tree is very centered, this is a beautiful and "warm" picture, very nice !

This is very nice panning work. For this theme, I think it would have been okay to let the bus show some movement, as well. Those crisp blues and reds would look nice as streaks across the frame.
rblue85 (Tiffany) added a critique 1 year ago:
Great panning! I love taking these kind of pictures. They take work to get it just right and you did a awesome job with this one.
kamaki (Christophe) added a critique 1 year ago:
Nice colors. I'd seen the bus left to right (unstead right to left) (except in England, sorry !)
Maybe in "stop the motion"
cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:
Really nice photo. The blur in the back is just enough. But it isn't distracting at all from the bus. I really like it!!!

I also like the idea of a different way of cropping the picture. What if you cropped it so that the top of the picture was the very tops of the fence posts? I think that the area above that in the picture is uninteresting and the bike blends into the trees too much. The bottom part of the picture has much more interesting contrast that makes my eyes bounce around as compared to the top part of the picture which is more gray. I think the softness of the picture works well really. :) Overall it's a really nice picture I think!

I agree with Samantha That would turn a good picture into a striking one.
Laurie (Laurie) said 1 year ago:
Hmmm...worth a try. I will crop it and resubmit it.

Laurie,
Did you resubmit this one? Nice capture.

Laurie (Laurie) said 9 months ago:
@Jon (jvgphoto) Thanks...yes I did resubmit this in a square format which worked better.

The only thing I would like to change in this photo is to add a little bit more blur to the tram.

I agree with schupin, it's a clever shot, I can tell that...I just don't know the "of what" part is. If I could identify with the subject just a tad more, it might work better for me. Any clarification? Thanks Beamer.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) said 11 months ago:
Maybe would have been better in "Abstract Objects"??
boyd added a critique 11 months ago:
Maybe, Beamer ... but the colours, textures and reflections are very interesting indeed.
Jessa added a critique 11 months ago:
yes I think this would have been better for abstract objects. The tones and textures are lovely

I like the mystery of this shot. I like not knowing exactly what I'm looking at. For me, it's a very good photo, perhaps, unexpectedly so.
