Eye catching subject. Definitely pops out.

Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:

Great catch Paul. Very thought provoking. Nice work!

rblue85 (Tiffany) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like this picture, great subject, but just a couple things. It looks like the picture is just a tad too sharp, not sure but it might look a little better if it was softened just a little bit. Also I would have put the same amount of gap between the left statue and the frame as you have on the right, but maybe that's just a personal quirk. Hope this helps. :-)

This picture is really cool. It's cool how there's almost emotion in these inanimate objects. Great shot!

Thanks, Paul, for the invite.

It was 5 to 6 hours, bio. Still nice, I must say. :D
I'll check if I can show you some eye shots.

5 to six hours?
And I thought I could respect you...

You're a zero :DDD

wow. I would like to know where and how this was taken as well. Great work.

bbonner (Bonner Photographic) said 1 year ago:

Thanks for the positive comments. It is Peyto Lake in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. Its a wonderful place to visit.

Roberta - you're the first person to ever want to know about me. You made me smile. I will have to put a bio up.

Enjoy.

Lovely clarity to this shot, excellent view.

ronjones (Ron Jones) said 1 year ago:

What a beautiful scene. Bet this would also make a stunning black and white.

uncommondepth (Roberta Murray) said 1 year ago:

I thought that was the Bow valley, but the minute I make a definitive statement I'm wrong! ;-)

I have a thing about knowing more about photobloggers, especially where they are from. Happy to make you smile.

Great colors in the clouds! Wish i could see this as a panoramic just to see what it would look like, with the clouds and sunset going off to the right.

kamaki (Christophe) said 1 year ago:

Thanks for your criticisms

bbonner (Bonner Photographic) added a critique 1 year ago:

I think the cropping is done very well. The smoke pulls the eye was I think you intended.

mosesport (Moses) added a critique 1 year ago:

I absolutely love the color in this picture. You captured this perfectly. :)

ronjones (Ron Jones) added a critique 1 year ago:

Indeed, it is beautiful. The colors, the lines, the composition work extremely well.

I like that swirl effect on the water. Simetrical reflections sometimes are difficult to deal with.

BSurprised (Behrooz) added a critique 1 year ago:

That is a very fine capture. That little mountain up there is a little bit disturbing, but it doesn't matter very much.

chromadreams (David) added a critique 1 year ago:

i think that the picture is so simetric, i wolud like it more if i only could see the clods in the water and nothing mor over the top of the trees, but in other way, the colours and saturation are, (for me), perfect

ronjones (Ron Jones) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very nice capture. Would be even better with some center of interest in the foreground.

Spectacular shot... love how well you captured detail in the moon.

ronjones (Ron Jones) said 1 year ago:

Nice capture and the exposure is right on. Have you considered bumping the saturation up a bit?

What an idyllic summer scene well captured. My only suggestion would be to run levels to increase the dynamic range. Well done.
