forgingahead (Bob Foss) said 6 months ago:

So I can't help but wonder with a topic named "Human Body" what the *!@$ did people expect to be posted? The line between "art" and "eroticism" and "pornography" is not as some wish to believe a clear line, it is a gray and fuzzy boundary that each sees and interprets individually. I vote: ART

And as for the issue of "safe for work," I don't know where you all work, but my experience is that I would have no more problem with a nude on my computer than I would with a photo of a flower. Work is not for Vazaar; and Vazaar is not for work. (Except for Brandon, of course)

misu (Mikhail Palinchak) said 6 months ago:

Dear Bob, I am realy glad that You think so and that you write this. Because my English don't allow me to write this, but I think the same. I hope soon on Vazaar will be topic NUDE!

lbstone (Brandon Stone) said 6 months ago:

For anyone who is coming in late on this, there is an additional conversation in the Vazaar Discussion group. That is where I'll focus my follow-up on the subject:

groups.google.com/group/vazaar/browse_thread/threa...

Ana (Ana Cortez) said 6 months ago:

Bob... during my lunch (I eat at my desk) I like to browse vasaar and a few other photo blogs.
And it wasn't in the "human body" topic that it was opened, but when it was featured on the front page.

I love the colors in the picture. Very nice.

How did you do it?

marc_l (Marcel Wenzel) said 1 year ago:

thx for your comments.

@ Ca-va-seul (Lopachin) & pedrorueda
i did not do much postprocessing. it's a HDR image made of 3 images just to get the right exposure for the sky. the rest is playing with the curves and reducing the colour saturation with the gradient map and try to match the colours with selective color.
thats it:)

mrsmorunion (Tammy Runion) added a critique 1 year ago:

Just amazing!

magic shot or postprocessing...

Interesting shot, but very unnatural, in my opinion.

Best,
Jon

Like the shot , would have been much stronger if you had moved your position and shot against a totally blue sky, the clouds distract from the beauty of the trees

Very nice scene. It's like movie that has been pauzed and you want to see what is coming.

I hope you still have that rollie, thats a great shot, and no photoshopping!!

lolly (lolly smits) said 11 months ago:

Great shot taken on a model that wasn't in production then! Here's some info: johnlind.tripod.com/rollei/rolleitext.html.

Your talent showing through at such a young age! :~)))

VernonTrent (Vernon Trent) said 11 months ago:

Lolly,

I had the privilege of getting one of the very first rollei se before they were for the market. my father told me "after gold, comes this cam". years later I have realized what that means.

I gotta get me one of those platic things - either that or tape a coke bottle bottom to my D80....

lbstone (Brandon Stone) said 1 year ago:

Yeah... great photo. I love how dark the human figure is inside the light surroundings. Really makes it pop.

They have to have some kind of Holga lens-hack for digital cameras, don't they? I've never seen one, but there just has to be one... they'd be crazy-popular I bet.

Anyone here heard of a Holga-flavored DSLR lens?
