I think the composition works well here, dividing the image into two halves

I agree with Brennan, nice composition. Lovely shot :)

Technically very nice, just not all that inspiring to me. A common subject, captured in a common way.
Schmidi (Zoltán Schmidt) added a critique 7 months ago:
The composition is nice, but for me it would be better, if you could get only one boat with its mirror image in the picture, not a row of them. If it was not possible, perhaps next time...

I love the angles you take you take your photos from. I've learned so much after looking through your pictures.

I think it would look better had you shot it from a different angle. It is very hard to me anyway to make out that it is a flower.

It looks very blurred, which is something I really like. I love that narrow depth of field. As I see it, this is something that gives the photo its special look; that's what I think, but some may not like such a strong effect.

This shot is taken without tripod, isn't it?
It is too blurry :(

Thank you for your comments - they are very helpful. Yes, I used tripod. I was testing my new extension tube and apparently the idea I had was not a very good one... I was trying to focus on the end of the petals so they look like teeth... well, let's hope I will do better next time :)

Agnes,
Very nice effort with this one. I think, in the end, despite the crits, you have succeeded with this one. The composition is intriguing and pulls one into the shot.
Cheers,
Jon
Nice one
