This is very nice panning work. For this theme, I think it would have been okay to let the bus show some movement, as well. Those crisp blues and reds would look nice as streaks across the frame.

rblue85 (Tiffany) added a critique 1 year ago:

Great panning! I love taking these kind of pictures. They take work to get it just right and you did a awesome job with this one.

kamaki (Christophe) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice colors. I'd seen the bus left to right (unstead right to left) (except in England, sorry !)
Maybe in "stop the motion"

cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:

Really nice photo. The blur in the back is just enough. But it isn't distracting at all from the bus. I really like it!!!

jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 6 months ago:

Very well done! Great capture and very well seen.

Best,
Jon

This picture is framed perfectly. I love the lighting and the color. PERFECT!

tuscanice (Jo) added a critique 1 year ago:

Fantastic Hi-Key commercial look! Other than the rest of the glass...it's perfect:)

tulna (Tulna Chauhan) added a critique 1 year ago:

I agree about the whole glass being there, but what a classy shot! Something very 80's about it too :-)

Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very nice photo. I would like to have seen a bit more of the reflection of the flower. I also would have liked the flower not to be cut off at the top. The details in the petals are great.

chromaticmelody (Dhiren Bhatia) added a critique 1 year ago:

The picture is indeed very sharp and detailed. Only thing as said above is the cropping that needs some tending to. The reflection is a critical part to show an additional texture in the frame. Very nice processing and lighting indeed.

rblue85 (Tiffany) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice detail in the flower petals. I like the angle and the lighting too. IMHO this photo would go from good to great if the flower wasn't cut off at the top. Love the reflection. Maybe take the pic again with a little more of the reflection showing too?

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) added a critique 1 year ago:

As rblue85 said maybe with a little more reflection it will be better.Regards

lolly (lolly smits) added a critique 11 months ago:

I like it the way it is. Only thing, IMHO, if you could remove the distracting dark marks on the main petal on the left. love it.

One of your best. Excellent work!

This reminds me of Jerry Uelsmann photographs, an inspiring photographer from my younger days.

Thanks, Tony. I'll have to google him

Thank you ! Good idea for Minimalism topic. Don't know finally if screws have their place ?

PixelMix (Graeme Warren) added a critique 1 year ago:

Awesome shot. I love plain, simple shots, so well done! If I was to change one thing, maybe have the screws 'centered' - they seem to be about 1cm over to the right. I think you either need to make it symmetrical along the horizontal, or have it far enough away from symmetry. Hope that makes sense!

lomoseb said 1 year ago:

I'm okay with your last idea. Too much blue if i understand...

TomKaz (Tom) added a critique 1 year ago:

A real gem. I enjoy photos such as this and the technical perfection of this in a mathematical sense is outstanding.

Junkaboy (A. Junqueira) added a critique 1 year ago:

The look on the kid's face is so powerfull, its almost disturbing. I like the way the lights dim around the face. The hand doesnt actually bother me, but I think the image would look even better either without it or with the other hand on the same position on the other side. Great picture!

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) said 1 year ago:

Thanks Andre for ur comment ;)

kt_still added a critique 1 year ago:

The facial expression is so strong that the hand is not distracting at all. very lovely :)

chaba (David Chabashvili) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice shot. I would crop a little from top to shift the horizon from middle point. Great colors of dawn.

nattfodd (Alexandre Buisse) added a critique 1 year ago:

Great shot indeed, the lone paddler make a very nice effect. I agree that some sky could have been cropped, and I would have liked the figure to have the exact same distance on the left than on the right, but it's really because you requested criticism :)

msdedi (Linda) added a critique 1 year ago:

love the greens and the idea, nice clarity to the shot and I like the focus being on the ring, do wish the hands were a bit more relaxed and the shot was not quite so close in..... overall lovely though

Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:

Love the shades of green...agree with msdedi about the hands... all in all though a great photo, nicely captured!

tulna (Tulna Chauhan) added a critique 1 year ago:

Apt shot for the topic. Agree with the shot being too closed in. Still works for me as I love that bracelet!

rblue85 (Tiffany) added a critique 1 year ago:

Wow, I love everything about this picture. The detail is just great and I really like the composition. I had to really search to see if the was anything I would change. The only thing i could see is between the bicep and the torso the background is gray instead of the white below the arm. I think I would have tried to make the entire background one color. Overall great picture!

psychodudu (Andrew Parker) added a critique 1 year ago:

philippe posted an image like this in WeeklyShot, which was *amazing*, this lacks the definition of that one, and colour. It's missing something...like a blob of blue for example...

rblue85 (Tiffany) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is a great idea, but I agree with psychodudu it seems to be missing something. Maybe one drop of different color water or different colored lighting, just a suggestion.

Paulforrester (Paul Forrester) added a critique 1 year ago:

i stared at this for 5 min-trying to find a hidden message, i agree it would be more striking with a dash of colour!

delphE (delphinE Le Berre) added a critique 1 year ago:

that's a funny shot !
a little more sharpness (or contrast perhaps)would have been better to me.

I really like this picture. The contrast of the white flowers on the black background. The detail in the petals. It's all great. The only thing I would have changed is try not to cut off the flower on the left.

cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:

Really nice photo. I like how they tulips guide the eye all the way to top of the photo.

visualthoughts added a critique 1 year ago:

Beautiful use of black and white with the flowers. I've been trying to do some of this but just can't master the knack of the black, the gradation in tones and the brilliant white. This is an excellent example for me to study. Thanks!

Agresticguy added a critique 1 year ago:

Simply beautiful, I love the diagonal balance of grey to white to black. My only comment would be the rather strongly defined shadow outlines. For me, softening the shadow detail just a little more would make this a perfect 10. Again, beautiful.
