Nice work - I agree with most of the comments above - the tonal range is good - I think perhaps it could be darkened overall a tad.

A pleasure to view

PThree (Pascal Christ) added a critique 1 year ago:

Ok i must say nice work!!! Nice shot! I think this one must be featurd!

eggplant (Matt) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very nice antique feel here. My only suggestion is that the contrast is just the slightest bit flat. Other than that, great shot.

psychodudu (Andrew Parker) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is gallery material. I can't think of a higher compliment. Beautiful, humanistic, and tells a thousand tales. This is right up there with all the very best that portraiture has to offer.

larsomat (Lars Pohlmann) added a critique 2 months ago:

great! everything. sharpness on spot. expression is great. composition as well. and it tells a story.

Ahhhh good times at the Bay to Breakers :)

Do they do everything together?

mguerzon (Manuel Guerzoni) said 1 year ago:

John: I was wondering how you figured it was at the bay to breakers, then I clicked your link and understood! Funny coincidence.

Andrew/Jean-Marc: perfect strangers dressed for the bay to breakers race in San Francisco.

lolly (lolly smits) said 8 months ago:

You must have been very quick! Well done! But, Gardens...?! ;o)

psychodudu (Andrew Parker) said 8 months ago:

Where do you think the photo is taken lolly? A bit of lateral thinking might come to your aid in this situation!

lolly (lolly smits) said 8 months ago:

Football field, kindergarten playground, school playground, grass verge on the footpath of your street, grassed area near the beach.
Your topic? Here's an 'explanation': en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garden.
Belongs in Stop Motion; no lateral thinking required. Cheers!
PS: Hope the 'weather' is fine where you are. ;o)

psychodudu (Andrew Parker) said 8 months ago:

You cheeky blighter!

Look at the latest featured image, that could be taken from behind the window box of a basement room for all you know.

Like you said, MY TOPIC. If you can't manage a little lateral thinking then you shouldn't be here.

Where on earth do you think children pay their ball sports at home, in the kitchen?

Dear me.....

Break on through to the other side of that square box you're living in, dude.

The weather here is STORMY....

Have a nice day.
