Hey this is great! The thumbnail really jumped out at me, and the full sized image was no disappointment.

I was actually here about two weeks ago (perhaps that was when this was taken) during the flooding. I got quite a few similar shots, some really great ones, but unfortunately my CF card was accidentally formatted shortly after. =( I lost two and a half days worth of photos from my trip...

SeekingFocus: This was taken at White Sands, NM in November 2006. Not sure if it was a flood but the gypsum sand holds water pretty good and it seemed like it was this way for months as there was a lot of water there.

I was there towards the middle of February. At the time I was there, there were large 'lakes' just like this, and the back half of the scenic drive was closed to traffic because of the water.

This is just gorgeous. The reflection is like a mirror and without the subtle bumps in the water in front of the building, I would have guessed it was post processed. Excellent.
