I like this. In the Preview it looked somewhat like a motherboard of a computer.

I think there is a little too much vignetting but that might be just me. :)

Very interesting.
I agree with the above comment about the thumbnail.
The colors are a bit strange but the capture and focus are awesome!
Nice use of a different perspective!

Now I can imagine how awsome it would be if our streets were green ;)
Great photo!

I agree at first thougth it was a motherboard and wanted to see the topic, now it all depend on your intention, if you were trying to mimic a pc board
with that view of a city , you merit a 5/5 for creativity, as big city can now be anything in our internet erea,
otherwise 3.5/5 as hue and contrast not appropriate
after unsharp mask try to reduce noise, it doesnt reduce the quality of sharpness.

I confess I didn't think of a PC board at all, but now you tell me...

:o)

I played with the curves to get a "cross-processing" effect (kind of) and added some vignetting (too much, I agree).

Mario, can you explain how I reduce noise without loosing some sharpness?

Thanks for your comments.

I like it a lot as is.
I dig those colors. :)

I take all my photo in raw using adobergb98 600 ppi.
i open my raw image in cs3 and just adjust recovery
if there any overburn area, until red almost dissapear
dont go over 50% if you must play as little with exposure to compensate (as it will be fix later with level.dont fiddle with other as contrast it will be corrected later
then i open it in cs3.
first i do a level adjustment.
then a select all, go to filter adjust
sharpen - unsharp mask
amount 344% radius .04 pixels treshold 14 pixels
after go to filter noise - reduce noise
strengh 5 preserve detail 33% reduce color noise 60%
sharpen detail 22%.
then the usuall crooping and size adjustement for publication.
it work in 99% of the case if the take was 80% good at the start.
sometime you may have to vary the radius and treshold in unsharp mask
it doesnt correct movement blur,
that is my personnal recipe hope it work for you as it does for me

Mario, thank you for the detailed comment.

I used PS CS, so I don't have exactly the same possibilities, like the noise filter (I use Noise Ninja and it does make the pics a little blurry).

Also, I use the unsharp mask differently. In most cases: amount 125, radius 1.2, treshold 1.

marcouet52 (Mario Arcouette) added a critique 1 year ago:

Philippe
try my unsharp mask data
yours radius is a little to high for the treshold
of 1 to take effect in a positive ways,
hope to hear from you again
Mario

I'll try. Thanks, Mario.
