Thank you for the thoughtful comment, Jon. As you can guess, this was shot randomly in the street, so it's full of imperfections. I thought this one was relatively balanced. Many others are just good for the trash.

... not to mention Vernon: 155 features! Does anyone have a better score?
philippe (Philippe Reichert) said 11 months ago:
Merci, Eric. Je sais qu'on n'est pas dans une compétition (ce n'est pas mon état d'esprit), mais ça fait toujours plaisir de voir que certaines personnes apprécient ton travail...
Pixim (Eric) said 11 months ago:
A mes yeux, ton talent est indéniable et j'attends avec plaisir tes posts (comme ceux de Vernon d'ailleurs)
Merci et à bientôt.

Did she know at all... :~)))
philippe (Philippe Reichert) said 10 months ago:
No, she didn't. Actually, I wasn't sure I should show this. Homeless people are ashamed of their situation and I can understand they don't want their picture taken...

So calm, so ... sleepy.
Have you tried a contrast enhanced B&W version of this portrait?

Thanks for your comments, Jan. No, but I thought about it.

Thanks, Kevin. For me, it would be too symetrical without the fence.

I agree with philippe. Gloriously rich colours.
philippe (Philippe Reichert) said 10 months ago:
I hope these colors reflect the "Americana" touch I'm trying to share...

Vraiment superbe Philippe,- j'adorre le côté graphique et un peu inquiétant de cet univers...
Stranger than Paradise, hmmm !

Merci, Jean-Marc! Jarmuch, ça me convient!

wonderful picture of the road, almost like a satelite picture. where is it by the way?
philippe (Philippe Reichert) said 10 months ago:
Los Angeles!
aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) said 10 months ago:
Can you imagine how many wrong turns tourists make when confronted by this array of roads? It makes an interesting photo, though.
philippe (Philippe Reichert) said 10 months ago:
Actually, the indications are clear and it's not so difficult in the end. It can become a problem, though, if you miss an exit, especially in heavy traffic...

Une bien étrange fourmilière à vrai dire..!
Here the theme should be "crazy roads"...
Heureusement, il y a de plus belles routes aux Etats-Unis :))

Aahh, to be so lucky! I had a husband once, a great cook, chef quality; I miss him... ;D
I like this very much, Philippe. For me, however, the figure in the right foreground is just a little too strong and slightly diverts the attention from the subject in the white jacket. I realize, of course, that the photographer has little control over the moment! The feeling of hustle and bustle on a busy city street is perfect and I love the colors. I also like the way the photo opens up to the sky - wonderful touch. Best, Jon
