The one on top's a bit of a character...makes me smile, but then they all do! I like the effect of the increased contrast. ;~D

I like this relaxing scene. Be interesting to know what she was photographing...I can just see a head poking up out of the greenery near her; is that her subject? I also get a sense of heat from the light reflecting off the brick wall.

I don't know I tried the scroll bar crop test and I don't think the image holds as much depth and interest if you crop off the near ones. In this framing they really start the eye moving in the scene. My only thought was to mask that area and pull up the contrast a little so the tonal range matches the deeper part of the image.

Thanks for the the interesting comments. I'm far from mastering the masking techniques.I should give it a try...

He does, indeed. I was really taken with the expression on his face and the lighting. Even the colors of the feather on his hat....everything...just wonderful.
