you have everything here, what i like on pictures: lights are astonishing, simple geometric composition with a fine thin line on the bias to cut back regularity and with a clashing centrepoint to catch the eye, text and people on the go. fav.

Thank you so much! This is an effect I found on the web. I'm not on my computer, so I can't give you a direct link. But it's very easy: you choose a painting and you mix it with your photo. If you're interested, I'll post a tutorial when I'll be back home.

The tutorial would be greatly appreciated!

This is a very simple effect:
- you choose a painting you like for its colors. Matisse, Rembrandt, whatever. One I particularly like is "Nighthawks", by Hopper. You download it. The size of the file doesn't really matter.
- open it in PS, then open on top your image.
- go to image-adjustments-match color
- open the painting in source
- play with luminance and color intensity until you are pleased with the result.
Note that the pictures don't match every time, sometimes the result is just good for the trash.

C'est simplement excellent - à tester d'urgence, c'est clair :))

I like the construction of the photography, and especially the surprising effect obtained on the basis of the electric poles… thanks for sharing .

The effect comes from the watering. Check this out: same day, same place.

Well, I'll answer it anyway, in a simple way: Tahiti is not Paradise :o)
(on the other hand, I've no idea how Paradise looks like...)

Aahh, philippe, you're showing us some of your beautiful Polynesia. Congrats on the feature! Love what you've done with the clouds...so special. :~D
I like the composition, lighting and use of red in this one. It's almost as if you were using selective color in a B&W image (even though it's actually a color image). Well done.
