It is ideal, isn't it?
I love all bout this!
Great job.

eli (Elijah Woolery) added a critique 1 year ago:

A nice image, but I agree with the comment that noted a shallower depth of field, to isolate the bottles in the frame, could be a nice effect; also, did you try different lighting (such as from below; maybe that would be too much like a bar...)

jsmanseau added a critique 1 year ago:

Great image and colors. I do agree with the comments of more of DOF and try different lighting, but this is very nice and eye catching. I really like the textures of the wall and also in the reflection in the bottles.

kombizz (kombizz kashani) added a critique 10 months ago:

nice compo

Bastian (Bastian Löhrer) added a critique 12 days ago:

It looks very good in the thumbnail, but I don't like the background. The composition and perspective are both well-chosen.

Very nice image...and I think b&w would be a good choice too.

ldw (Lee) added a critique 1 year ago:

Reflection of the sky is great.

rtsnoz (Rohan Thomson) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice ride. Not so fond of the reflections though. Probably just a personal thing :p

andygibb (Andy Gibb) added a critique 1 year ago:

nice close crop and works well with the cloud reflection

Hanssie (Hans Stellingwerf) added a critique 7 months ago:

Maybe some more sharpness but it's a great shot, also with the spectacular clouds included !

notter71 (Tom Notter) added a critique 1 year ago:

nice color.
not really sure what i'm looking at.

kadenajack (Jack) added a critique 1 year ago:

I wasn't sure what I was looking at at first either. I don't know if that was your intention though, so that may be a good thing. However, since you've asked for comment on this image, I think maybe you are troubled by it in some way. So, perhaps a little less shallow depth of field (I know that's counterintuitive given the theme) would help the image overall.

owenhaberf (Owen Haberfield) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like the concept of this shot - it's quite an original idea I think. I like the angles and the point of view you've chosen. I might have cropped this a little and experimented with a shallower depth of field. But all in all I really like this.

miniTotoro (Natalie) added a critique 1 year ago:

The placement of the sharpest area of focus seems a bit off to me. Maybe play around with cropping to see if it focal point might work better elsewhere?

Great detail on the brick though.

jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 7 months ago:

For me this is a strange crop, but I like the work, nonetheless! Great work on the brick - texture and dof are outstanding.

Best,
Jon

Very nice...gives me a feel of the music!

lbstone (Brandon Stone) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is just really great. The blur feels musical to me... fits perfectly.

Sweetness.

eggplant (Matt) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is very good...I can hear the jazz. I love the musician's head, very surreal and abstract; it fits the genre of music.

jsmanseau added a critique 1 year ago:

Wonderful shot Toph! I've always enjoyed this photo.

This is such a nice photo - great comp. and great atmosphere. Truly, this is music to my eyes!

jbloch75 (Jeff Bloch) added a critique 1 year ago:

Perfect for this topic. The b&W works well for this shot. I would have used the first arch as a natural top frame. Otherwise, well done.

willie_901 (william) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice composition and perspective. I like the tonality. Very well done.

byutanner (Jason Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:

Great image. No criticism. What's the story behind the building?

I think I wrote something on one of the other pics, the one with the Theatre.

Wish image were more clean, seems it film photo. Good composition and idea.

Laurie (Laurie) added a critique 1 year ago:

Other than the bright spot on the right, which could be cropped out, I like this one. The quality isn't the best, but I cannot tell if this is a film scan or digital. I'm leaning toward it being a film scan. But I'm rarely right.

owenhaberf (Owen Haberfield) added a critique 1 year ago:

The quality of this image lets it down. It looks like a bad film scan to me. Otherwise I love it! I could see this in a tent manufacturer's brochure.

Topher (Christopher Mueller) added a critique 1 year ago:

Not much to add to the previous - I don't think the quality is that bad really. More than anything, I'd like to have seen the tent off-center. Unfortunate about all the light on the right, but great shot Suvir.

sam (Sam Evans) added a critique 11 months ago:

Great shot. For me it sums up the camping experience; escaping to the wilderness, away from the busyness of life to spend some time alone. Well done!

MMeye (Martine) added a critique 1 year ago:

Excellent ! What a clever composition... the way you framed this pic makes it all. Congrats !

CodeRed (Cody Redmon) added a critique 1 year ago:

Indeed, a great composition. I'd like to see this in black and white or a slightly-warmed duotone. Regarding tone, I notice a slight disparity between the left and right halves of the image that is a bit distracting, but it may have been intentional. Regardless, fantastic work!

aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) said 1 year ago:

Thanks, again, for all the comments. CodeRed, I added a gradient to this photo which probably accounts for the disparity.

PhotoDaniels (Stephanie Daniels) added a critique 1 year ago:

Fantastic image! I would love to see this in black and white, too!! The window on the left does visually feel like it's running out of view but that could be intentional. Overall, this is excellent!!!

aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) said 1 year ago:

@PhotoDaniels. The photo is cropped close to the left window because the edge of the building lies just beyond the frame and the background beyond was quite distracting. I tried B&W, but didn't like it nearly as much as the color version. Thanks for your comment.

jbruschi (Jon Bruschi) added a critique 1 year ago:

Agree with the others that the cropping leaves you wanting a bit more of the 'scene' surrounding the subject. Nice saturation of colors, but perhaps this subject could do without blurring the edges. What was he doing? Yawning or growling? :)

Jenseye (Jen) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like the blur edges...gives the wild lion a bit of a softer feel.

Moses2 said 1 year ago:

Thanks for your comments. I always want to learn.

creative666 (Craig Wilson) added a critique 1 year ago:

Reminds me of the Lion from "The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobr"... or the film The Chronicles of Narnia

I also am not to keen on the blurred edges!

Lindy (Lindy G) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like the blur edges ,gives a dreamy quality and we always think of lions so strong.. that is just my opinion.. very cool shot..

owenhaberf (Owen Haberfield) added a critique 1 year ago:

is this a photo or digital art of some kind? The pattern looks so perfect and symmetrical to be a photo?

joka (Johannes Kapp) said 1 year ago:

It is a photo, a detail of a rubbish-container. And post production.

ArneG (Arne Gulstene) added a critique 1 year ago:

I'd hardly want to through rubbish into this work of art.
