I keep coming back to look at this, as it is very well done and a terrific composition/idea... I'm wondering if it would pop a touch more to perhaps up the contrast slightly on the BWface shot, I love the clarity and cleaness of the highlights in the bodies, and her hair works well in synchronzation with that, but somehow his face is a touch lost in comparison...
like this very much however

dcrphoography: There was no selective saturation here, the whole picture was desaturated.
It is a real framed picture.

This is great! Out of interest, did you desaturate the background or alter the tone of the chair in a layer. I like the way the colors of the chair standout subtly from the street behind it.
Great shot!

I corrected the colors from the usual reddish shots I get from shooting at night, desaturated a little and adjusted the contrast.

I love how the little kid just happened to be directly in between the persons ankles as they were jumping :) I like the warm colors in this, very fun image.

Yes, this is top notch. I love the relaxed nature of the face...it does not seem posed. A genuine feeling of emotion here.

That's really interesting. I am imagining what the floor tile looks like in color.

nice work... many people make blurry images on accident, but this looks very intentional and it works wonderfully with the "moving subway". very good.
oliverchank (Oliver Chank) said 1 year ago:
Thank you Ben... In fact, when you are stuck in a bus with a camera for 45 minutes, you make a lot of experiments ;). I only had my point and shoot back then, but this photograph really makes me believe that it's not about the camera one owns, it's all about the idea a photographer can have in mind.

Very nice work! I feel the movement.
and very true...it's in the photograhers mind not the camera they own.

Really great dynamics in the clouds' movement. I think those lights are just a bit too bright and really steal the focus quite a bit.
oliverchank (Oliver Chank) said 1 year ago:
Yeah, I think you're right Jason. However, the shooting was such a delightful experience that the pictures all seem so great to me. It was shot during my trip to the Bahamas, and it was the first time I tested long exposures of the ocean.
Thank you for commenting!

Catch 22 with the light, without it you wouldnt be able to see the motion in the waves.
I slightly offput by the use of selective saturation. Otherwise, this is a nice shot and certainly fits the theme.
