Thanks Jon. This is a macro of the leaf of a Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia reginae) from my trip yesterday to Decanaso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge, CA. Beautiful February sun, great day!!

Not that sharp, maybe the DOF is too short, a fave anyways.

Stunning macro. The texture and color in this image are simply wonderful. A perfect fit for the textures category.

Enhorabuena por esta fotografia. Luces y sombras que resaltan la fuerza de la mirada. Saludos
moostive (Mohsen Rasoulov) said 8 months ago:
Nicely lit though I guess you could do better with the shape of the shade on the forhead!
ervin (Ervin Sperla) said 8 months ago:
moostive, actually, no, I couldn't. :)
that "shade" you are probably referring to is in fact a remainder of a scar and the model explicitly told me not to hide it in the photo or remove it in post-processing. so there.
moostive (Mohsen Rasoulov) said 8 months ago:
Oh, alright then, thanks for the info. :)

I really like the shot. It shows how fast these boat are really capable of going.

I like this, but the crop is a little tight. Good color and feeling of movement-wish it were just a little bit sharper.
Best,
Jon

Fotografia muy bonita. Calidez y suavidad. Dá la sensacion como si todo hubiera sido puesto a propósito, incluida la rama donde descansa el pajaro, para obtener este gran resultado. Enhorabuena. Saludos

Very nice composition.
Really makes everything pop out!
sebrundage (Stephen B) added a critique 9 months ago:
This is really well done. I actually like the slight blur of the train - gives a sense of action. The clouds really pop and create a nice contrast to the lines of the buildings.
Jordan (Jordan Young) added a critique 9 months ago:
Looks great, a few spots jumped out at me as abnormal however. There's a thin glow around the roof of the building that looks strange, and the building seems too dark around the top. I also agree that the sky at the top of them image is a bit too dark, it doesn't look too natural or convincing. Overall though, this is a great image with tons of potential. Composition is perfect.
All the best,
Jordan

Amazing sky!!! madre de Dios!!! Everything move me to the sky, so I think You have too much on earth. The focus could be different? Really fantastic work!!!

The water drops have captured a sweeping 180 degrees of the photo stadium which is simply great.
