thanks for your comments
kadenajack, you made the same comment in an older photo. i understand your point of view but you should read what Sher said : "In my dictionary, the definition of solitude is "the state of being alone, separated from other people, whether considered as a welcome freedom from disturbance or as an unhappy loneliness.""

i tried to remove the pipes at the top, i didn't like it whitout them, but thanks for your suggestion.
Topher (Christopher Mueller) added a critique 1 year ago:
Antoine, I like it just the way it is. Including your representation of Solitude, which can be interpreted in so many ways.... Instead of worrying about semantics, I have to say your interest in the subject and the framing/presentation is fantastic. How solitary this person is was so well presented with your tucking him into the left corner of the dark empty room (it seems like such a small room - but so large at the same time because of how small he seems and the dark colors). The pic speaks novels to me obviously and is a favorite. Thanks for sharing it.

I love the surreal effect of the exaggerated saturation, and you did a great job of drawing the viewers eye directly to the subject while maintaining a sense of place.

I love the image, the shot but don'y understand why you blured so badly the sky.
The framing is great, the angle ... I love this image !
kadenajack (Jack) said 1 year ago:
This is very cool and unique. How long did it take to get the bike up in the tree?
Topher (Christopher Mueller) said 1 year ago:
Perfect, to me. I actually like the blur in the sky; it forces my attention on the bike. Fun and unique capture and well-framed. Off-critique, it reminds me of pranks such as slinging shoes over power lines. What a prank this would be....

If it wasn't for the artifacts from digital reworking (I assume that's what the halo effect around the tree trunk is) I'd really love this image. I still like it for it's originality and composition, however the sky detracts from the shot. I image it would look even more obvious when enlarged for print. Was this background digitally supplimented to hide a far more distracting original background perhaps?

This is a beauty. I don't mind the trees, I agree with kadenajack that they give a balance. And I like the foreground vignetting so I don't think a crop would particularly enhance the composition. Well done!

Beautiful!
Amazing water softness!
Nothing to suggest that could improve it!
Great job!

Very nice capture. I wonder if the bokeh is from the lens or done in PP.
