Great moment, very nicely captured!! The composition should be either a little tighter of looser. The end of the bolt just touching the top of frame and the black at the bottom of the yellow band showing at the bottom are both distracting.

Thanks for the positive feedback.
To get this shot I was using the fast capture mode and firing away. This was taken with my 200mm lens as he was up on the pole above me. Took me about 10 min to follow him around and find a composition and body movement that worked. I don't have to worry about scaring him as he teases my dog and is used to me following him after i put the dog inside.
Beamer,
Good point about the crop. This is a crop from the original and I will have to look at what improvements could be made! Thanks!

Love the blue sky and the warm tones. Amazingly clear action shot - great detail. Good job!

Sadly, It seems this store may be doomed to close.
Over the past 3-4 years numerous alcohol sale violations have been committed here leading to a 90 day suspension starting Aug. 1st. From what the owner says, beer and wine are the biggest sales of the store.

Thanks for the comment Jim.
Hindsight, i noticed the cut off fin.
The color is due to underexposing to get it without any highlight clipping. I probably could remap the colors for a more pleasing solution....

I agree about the composition, but as I see the trunk is open, a looser compo might not have been that attractive either. Beautiful tones, beautiful car!!

Thanks for the comment Clyde!
Great ideas for the next round!
stilfoto (Stefan Nielsen) added a critique 4 months ago:
I would acturally prefer to cut it a little more in the top - to get rid of the trunk door. And then I would crop it close to the taillight too. This gives a cleaner composition imo. And the colors could use a little more punch...

Woke up early the other morning. Couldn't go back to sleep. Walked out front, and was presented with this. Sun was not over the horizon yet, thus the dark color of the sky.

this is great.. my black & tan died last year. Reminds me a lot of him. Beautiful glimpse into a dogs life :)

Thanks Jessa.
They can be the cutest dogs or they can be one of the biggest pains.
Sorry for your loss. Glad this could remind you of the good times!

I don't think that this is too dark or lacks sufficient contrast (maybe it is my old monitor). This is a well conceived shot, Mike, no only if you could get a string from the net to dangle down a little more ... '-0 ... I also like the shaddowy items in the background that take on a sinister look in this light.

I refer to the sign with the wheel-chair, unfortunately I don't know the proper expression for it. The painted sign that marks the parking place to be reserved for handicapped personnel.

boyd,
thanks for the comment.
Glad you liked the shot. Yeah the net is all dependent on the wind!
gazdi,
After replying in conferred with a colleague and understood what you meant...
Kinda funny the language barrier. Here it would be called a "handicap symbol", All Americans correct me if I'm wrong!
