love the photo. really like the cyan coming out in the image. rare colour you don't see very often. wow!

Ben (Downing) said 1 year ago:

nice! I very much enjoy the depth of this image, and also the way the curve bends your eye right and away, very good.

Emotional take there.
Is that a bandage on your hand?
This picture makes me kinda sad.
In a good way I guess.

jeninja-inja (Jenine Lindeque) said 1 year ago:

yip bandage, hurt my hand carrying film rolls around for this big production i was working on. Fanx for the comment!

Very nice shot.
the lighting is excellent.
I like the right eye in shadow as it leaves a bit of wonder in the image.

I think this photo is great and fits very well into the topic. I say its worth being featured.

boughey (Adrian Boughey) added a critique 1 year ago:

Love it! Simple as that. The lighting, composition, and mood...all work perfectly together.

I really dig it. The sharpness (or lack thereof) is not an issue for me - it conveys the idea and the feeling of speed better than it would had the car been sharp. Good work. Personally, I'm not a fan of crazy dutch tilts, but even that works pretty well here

pavankvn added a critique 1 year ago:

I like this shot as it conveys the sense of speed/motion well.

guffy (Stefan Karlstrom) added a critique 1 year ago:

I really like the idea. But I think that the camera needs to be mounted onto the car better so the car will be sharp and in focus. Now the car and the background are almost blurred in the same way.

prometheus (Thomas) added a critique 1 year ago:

Really good idea. I agree to pavankvn. But in my opinion it should be turned to the right position and of course the car should be sharp

Topher (Christopher Mueller) added a critique 1 year ago:

More than anything - I can appreciate how this is rotated, but wish it was a little more clockwise. I don't mind the blur; actually feel like it adds to the shot. Might even like to see it saturated a little more so it's even more striking.

sweet portrait

Bastian (Bastian Löhrer) added a critique 1 year ago:

Definitely a good composition.

matt_e (Matt Eddey) said 1 year ago:

Thanks for your comments, everyone.

Topher (Christopher Mueller) added a critique 1 year ago:

Personally I like the composition w/o crop. I like some empty space, particularly if the subject isn't looking directly into the camera. What seems like backlighting really adds to the contrast. Nice!

PThree (Pascal Christ) added a critique 1 year ago:

OK i think a good idea and a good work! but why u ar doesn`t make the background more darkly ! but noce shot!

Nice silky effect

chasewhittemore (Chase Whittemore) added a critique 1 year ago:

I think If I could see the rocks a bit better, and if the moss was a bit greener this would be amazing. I do really like how the watter looks here.

Paulforrester (Paul Forrester) added a critique 1 year ago:

congrats on the feature dude!

janiskir added a critique 1 year ago:

Maybe the background draws the eye a bit too much - but this is really Nitpicking Extreme :)

I love this one with its predominant white, giving the pic an airy, light atmosphere.

matt_e (Matt Eddey) added a critique 1 year ago:

I really like this - it works really well. The background really draws you to the person so effectively.

What bugged me was that your vertical lines aren't quite straight. It's a tiny bit out, but it really jumped at me. Maybe the engineer in me talking!

Your whites - at least on my monitor - are blues and greys. Try give it a more high-key feel, and I think it would be much more dramatic.

Apart from these two minor points, excellent composition. I think it's a great image.

dcrphotography (Daniel) added a critique 1 year ago:

Hmmm.. I think the architecture is too dominent. The solitary man is like an afterthought. I don't think this works well in the theme.

jeninja-inja (Jenine Lindeque) said 1 year ago:

thank you for all the comments - on the last one : the solitude for me in this photo was about a time when this man could rest without being disturbed. It solitude is often seen as undesirable and coupled with a sense of loneliness, but he was lying in the mosque and his solitude reflects more on the spiritual enlightenment of the space achieving it in recluse.

aldamir (di Carlo Darsa sandro) added a critique 1 year ago:

Architecture is here, too much maybe, I like the white balance.

Magnificent colors, the moment of enjoyment is well congealed and "retranscribed" in your photo. For the centering, I'd cut the banner on the top. Congratulations!

SeekingFocus (Jason Langley) added a critique 1 year ago:

Wow, incredible focus, and very vibrant. A bit too bust for me, but I love the idea.

kamaki (Christophe) added a critique 1 year ago:

Great carnaval atmosphere photography; but too bust for me

aldamir (di Carlo Darsa sandro) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is a realy good focus !
Myabe it could be a good point to focus on people with, in first plan, the stop motion.
Just an alternativ way :)

I think the picture have been taken too close to the subject, we can't really figure what it is...

Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:

I think this is a lovely photo. I love the detail of it. I would like to see just a bit more of the top of the flowers. My eye is drawn to the top of the photo and then the photo stops too soon.

This is nice. I don't care for the red in the back tho'.

I was considering desaturating this one, but at the end of the day I decided I liked the color version more.

Very good image, although I'm also not a fan of the red in the back. It's kinda distracting.
