Very, very cool. Absolutely gorgeous composition.

I really enjoy this photo. I think the idea is brilliant, but I think it could be improved in several ways.
1. Make sure to put Big Ben more in focus.
2. Perhaps try it with the window frame being darker, maybe even completely black.
3. Not sure if you could arrange this without actually moving further away from the window frame, but it would look better if the window frame is in focus as well. Try a higher F-number.

you guessed it right, jay. This cat (name is "kajal") definitely has attitude & thinks she rules our house.
thanks for the comments, everyone.

i agree...if the dof was more blurry, it would have had more impact and brought more attention on the cat...but i love the picture

The tree makes an incredible sight on the giant rock form. I would love to see this place in person..

Looks like it was shot at an awkward time of the day, too many shadows. There doesn't seem to be enough light on the bike, my eye keeps going back to the decorative stone work.
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 2 years ago:
You have given yourself a difficult assignment in re: the light! You have, however, done a nice job of hiding the bicycle - was that your idea? The eye really want to go to the upper quadrant.
Best,
Jon

thanks for the comment, dontbrandme.
this shot was taken in a garden & what you see in the background is a set of out-of-focus flowers. shooting it with a Nikkor 200 macro at a wide aperture really isolates the background & lets the foreground stand out.

Although the details are lost in that amazing black coat, it doesn't matter one iota because of those amazing eyes. The dof works so well because you're a bit curious of the background and can see it's another cat but then you're again drawn to those eyes. Wonderful
Perfect for me. I don't know where you were to shoot Big Ben...Nice
