I too agree that the person adds to the shot, rather than taking away. It places the shot in the real world, and give it perspective. Otherwise, it could have been a model...

A real Escher capture in the real world !
Incredible !

¡¡¡Enhorabuena!!!!, he visto esta foto en la portada que Canon tiene para enviar sus noticias ("You connect").

Hey, I got this advertisement from Canon today. And they used your shot! I thought I had recently critiqued it here. Congrats!!

I really like your perspective and vantage point. The softness of this photograph, so inviting.

Thank you very much to you all :)

Thank you Nathan :)
I have blurred a little the background.

I agree with Eye See, It really caught my eye too because of the dramatic content. Really makes you keep looking. I love it.

I too like the symbolism in this...the trees rising...the gaze pulled downward...profound silhouette.

I don't know how I missed this earlier - beautiful work - you should be proud!

Agree with Mike! This is a nice classic landscape. The blur was too much.
sfkp (Tamara) added a critique 3 months ago:
This is much better! I love this landscape: the slowly fading hills on the background, the old wooden fence, almost colapsing... beautiful. Maybe I would have moved a few steps to the right or turned a bit to the right. imo there have to be more space on the right of the open space between the trees. Zoom out would also help.
Another thing... if you're able to go back here, maybe it would be a nice idea to make a detail photo of the fence or the bunch of wood (I mean the wood visible on the left).
groetjes
Tamara

Yes, this is much stronger that the manipulated one. I agree with Tamara that this is a great location and, if you have access to return here, I am sure that there are lots of possibilities for very strong images.

GarrettHall (Garrett Hall) added a critique 3 months ago:
I like this photo. If it has been cropped, then I would suggest cropping less off of the right side, so that the green tree isn't on the edge. Actually, You could try cropping 10% off of the left side, which would balance things out and put the dark tree directly in the center of the frame.

Excellent colors and atmosphere. The fog adds the magic to the image.

I agree about the saturation being a bit too high. Another suggestion would be capturing either 1/3rd of the sky or the grass setting the other element take 2/3rd. Excellent image nonetheless!
ple (ferry kana) added a critique 4 months ago:
high contrast, high saturated !!! just the one that i like !!
360Pixels (Ayash Basu) added a critique 4 months ago:
Eye catching image for sure. I might have preferred a)less saturation on the colors and b)a non-square "landscape" view.
GarrettHall (Garrett Hall) added a critique 4 months ago:
I would crop 10% off of the top. The 10% has interesting clouds, but I think it would look better without it. Did you get any longer exposures showing the wheat moving?

I cut the upper exposed part and edited a bit. Re-uploaded to "signs"

Me gusta. Las esquinas sombreadas simulan un cerco alrededor del objetivo al que prestar atención.
boyd added a critique 4 months ago:
It made me stop. I think that the cropping that you have done works well, I am not so much a fan of the heavy and uneven vignette effect that you have included. However, this is still a powerful image.

To me it almost shows two different worlds!
Good job!

I thought these might be from the Southeast, they remind me of home in western Virginia. This is very nice, I like the depth and sense of peace. I wish you had included a little more foreground below the bottom of the fence.
sfkp (Tamara) added a critique 3 months ago:
It's just what I ment when I gave that another comment on photo #30848. I like this composition more, imo it's more balanced although the colours of the another one are more intense.
