Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 1 year ago:

Contrails are one of my pet peeves. I really don't like them in photographs, but that is personal taste not really criticism. I live in the LA area and it is very difficult to shoot skies without them. The image is nice, the colors and tones create a peaceful mood. Just enough black at the bottom.

Laurie (Laurie) added a critique 1 year ago:

I actually like the contrails. It's a statement of the times we live in. They look like brush strokes across the sky. The color is just lovely.

Topher (Christopher Mueller) added a critique 1 year ago:

I concur with Beamer... this is such an image where I'd be photographing one thing I hate the most, contrails. Those aside, you have a beautiful horizon here and lots of sky. Love it. Wish the horizon was straight, or would like to see it that way. I'll tilt my screen and try ;)

grahambo (Graham Siebe) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like the composition. I wish the contrast in the sky could have been pushed a little bit more.

Cass (Cass Horton) added a critique 1 year ago:

I have to line up with the "pro contrail" side here :) -- they work, in this image. I feel they're the key element here for the strongest point of this shot, and that's *depth* ... you can really fall in to a sky shot like this, and leading lines (contrails) can help. But it's not all good, the horizon line is bugging me, and there's too much nondescript murky shadow over on the lower right hand side -- maybe some cropping and straightening could work it out.

Love the sky, agree with Laurie.
