A bit soft for a still life. The DoF is probably too shallow. The framing ratio is very subjective, but a little too tall for me.

I like the lighting and the way the lit side of the pear mixes with the blue background. I agree with the previous comment that the tall aspect ratio is not working for me. I'd crop this square or 8x10 aspect minimum.

Agreed, like the lighting and the fact that you didn't pick a perfect pear (although it is a nice pear you've got there - sorry, just had to use that line ;0) and it has the water droplets running off it. It would be also interesting to play with incorporating the shaddow a little more by changing perspective slightly. This has the makings of a really interesting project.

I love that blue! I think the framing on the bottom is a bit awkward. You might consider either allowing a bit more breathing room on the bottom of the pear, or cropping the image all the way to the bottom of the pear so it appears it's sitting on the frame for a mroe abstract shot.

I like the minimalistic approach.I don't mind the crop at all. The lighting is lovely. I assume you meant the pear to be this dark. The shadow effect is nice. Still, I'd like to see a version where the left side of the pear is lighter.

I agree, a perfect pear could have made all the difference. Other than that, the colors are great and the shot is really sharp.
