I like the detail in combination with the shallow depth of field very much. The light on the leaf makes it jump out of the background even though the background is almost of the same colour. I wonder if the picture is not too much leaning on the left (the right side, especially the bottom is a little bit empty). Having said that, I'm not sure if this "unbalance" makes the picture more interesting.

Beautifully detailed shot, perfect sharpness and great light. The small detail that takes this from the status of very good photo to the one of great shot is the other leaf grip on the bottom.

I'm not sure why you've requested a critique, because there isn't anything to be critical of here, so all you're going to get is praise from me. Wow Amy! This is beautiful, terrific, wonderful and whatever other superlative you want to insert here. Represents the theme well, beautiful light, perfect focus and dof, and as Alexandre said...that little leaf gripping the bigger one is like icing on the cake.

You captured the structure of the leaf very well. I like also the light of the leaf.The sharpness is O.K. The colour of the background is the same of the leaf. So the colour of the photo is beautiful.This image is a metaphor for autumn.

Amazing detail!! The composition is wonderful. I think the shallow DOF with the amazing detail in the leaf you've captured is complimented with the perfect light! This is all around a great image -- nothing to critique!!
