While I like the greyish/cold morning feel that this shot has, I don't think the composition works that well, mainly due to the big empty space of the sky, which doesn't add anything to the photo. Perhaps you should try a panoramic format? They sometimes give surprisingly good results.

That said, I'm not sure of the interest of the subject itself either.

I agree with the nattfodd opinion, it lacks a main point of interest, maybe a diferent cropping format would result better.

The sky is begging us to look at it because of the framing, yet there really isn't anything to see ~ no interesting colors or patterns in the clouds.

Perhaps a framing of the building in the extreme lower right corner, cropping out the boats would give the perspective that this giant scary sky is looming over a tiny, lonely house.

I was looking at the lower part of the photo (only) and the path up to the house gives that part a really nice diagonal interest point. The trees also go up at the far right. I think that part is the most interesting area.
