This photo has such great atmosphere for me. It is a time and place far away from my everyday.

Using an intervalometer, I shot 340 frames (8 sec | F/2.8 | 800 ISO | 16mm) with a Canon 5D over a 4-hour period. I stacked the exposures through a nifty piece of software called Startrails. The tree was lit briefly by cars leaving the area in the middle of the night resulting in this rather surreal composition.

Wow, so close to symmetry, just a bit off center. 11 grill bars on the left only 10 on the right. Center this and you have the nuts!! Very nice tonal range, beautiful shot. I would re-crop and re-post, just one guy's opinion.
laanba (Laurie Ballesteros) said 11 months ago:
Ahh... you know there was something that bothered me about this shot, but I couldn't put my finger on it. It wasn't something huge that screamed THIS HERE THIS IS WRONG. But I think the symmetry might be it. I'll have to go back and look at the original file and see if there are any cropping possibilities. Thanks.

Thanks all...This was from last Easter's dinner table. The desert is called Khrustyky. It's a tasty treat.

Too perfect! It wouldn't have had the same impact without the blur. I just know this clown eats children.
laanba (Laurie Ballesteros) said 1 year ago:
Thanks you two. I'm not normally afraid of clowns but it was certainly creepy to come across this while I was wandering the carnival grounds.

Hell yeah this is friggin scary! If my daughter saw this, she would run 100 mph in the other direction.

Oh yeah, this is great. Nice capture with the blur which totally makes it creepy. Some photos make you wonder where people find these things & this is definitely one of them!

Thanks for that laugh you gave me today!
I like reflections shots like this and hope to take more in the coming year. I like seeing the wide variety of things that people find that have a reflective surface.
