I think this has been taken with an automatic camera, isn't it? Although this is a noisy one. I would tried to focus at the "1984".
Next time, try a lower ISO and tripod! ;)

This is a well controlled close focus shot. I would prefer to see less detail in the background felt and the bright spot between the 1 and 9 in 1984 seems to draw my attention a little too much.
