Excellent Tracy! I love it!!

Tracy, when you were taking this image I was in awe of your sense of timing. These pelicans dive so quickly at the very last minute and capturing this one just before entering the sea is remarkable. The additional element of the pelican's pal hovering above is such an added element to the story.
Your warming layer and the composition adds much to the image. Well, well done.

Very nice.
Makes you wonder what the chair is doing there!

i like it overexposed, gives the feeling as if a nuclear explosion has taken place a few seconds ago.
komma5 (Christian Baron) said 1 year ago:
@all: thanks! :)
@methan: it was a little bit like a nuke blast must feel, because of 118 degrees fahrenheit and perceived humidity like 120%... ;) the sun was burning so hard that i had to interrupt my shots every few minutes to cool down in the car...

I began photography with digital as well, so it's fascinating to hear about analog post-processing. It sounds like a whole new world to discover!

Jens, I don't think most people know that you shoot real film instead of pixels. ;-)

While I was on the West coast I spent a couple days down at the ocean and was constantly entranced by these guys, it is just amazing to watch them dive.
