I really like this. The colors, tones and lighting are just great. It leaves me kinda wanting to see more of the front of the guitar, but then you'd probably lose the detail on the hand which is very interesting. I'd love to hear where this is and what it is made of! Do you have a pic somewhere of the whole thing? I'd like to see more of it.

Really wonderful picture. The post processing does give it the extra color and dreamy style it needed.

You have done an excellent job of making this place in the forest look really creepy... but in a very cool way. Nice and magical!
Syam added a critique 1 year ago:
I like the composition of this picture. You had the sunlight appearing in between the trees and an 'entrance' like scene in a colourful world.
misu (Mikhail Palinchak) added a critique 6 months ago:
Nice photo. The forest is founderful. New Zeland :)

Looks like you were a member of the crew from LotR of Harry Potter. ;)
I have nothing to add to the compliments already given. It's just amazing!

Very nice.
I agree with dropping the contrast on the weeds as your eye would no longer be drawn to that corner!
the textures are amazing with wonderful detail and contrast!
MMeye (Martine) said 1 year ago:
Definitely I understand the contrast is too high on the weeds. Thank you all, I did not notice this.

Radial blurring to the bottom floor is a good idea to get rid of the same pattern and look more dynamic, this is unique for me, but i think it is a bit exaggerated. I really loved the shot, but while I keep looking at it, I feel really sad..

Cool shot. I like the contrast between the boat and the dramatic clouds

Both images are outstanding. Great capture.
thoughtdujour (thought du jour) added a critique 1 year ago:
the sensuality of the wood really comes out in the treatment that you've given it with just enough light given to the rest of the photo which ensures that we don't disconnect between the subject and the fore ground.
gerrit added a critique 1 year ago:
nice. deserves to be featured (in my oppinion).

Incredible shot. It has a strange "otherworld" feel. Like the backgrounds in "Lord of the Rings" or something.

I have to agree with Beamer here. Good mood but....
I would go with a tighter crop, but try to reduce the contrast of the other elements by a less heavy handed means. Perhaps breaking the image up and adjusting the brightness and contrast. Or creating a sharpening layer just for the people and leaving the rest completely unsharpened.
CodeRed (Cody Redmon) added a critique 1 year ago:
I'm with the rest on this one, mmeye. It's a great subject, the DOF is nice and I actually like the soft focus effect to some degree. But the dodging and burning are not consistent - you can see lighter and darker regions in the green grass of the foreground. It is also evident in the trees above the subjects. Unfortunately, to my eye, these variences really grab my eye away from the focal point. It's still a very nice shot, so keep working it! Thanks for the post, mmeye.

Great idea & good use of the cut-out !
But, I'm not sure that the rendering on lips and teeth is very good...

Multiple exposures with 35mm film. Multiple exposures also denotes passage of time. I have been working with image sequences for sometimes now....from art school days
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 1 year ago:
The top and bottom frames I like, the middle just seems confusing.
I think the inclusion of the word "time" near the bottom is unnecessary. It's the only typography element and by the time your eye gets there you have already gotten that message.
msdedi (Linda) added a critique 1 year ago:
love your concept... have to agree with Clyde on the middle frame, perhaps a bit more contrast, with some focal elements defined a bit more for that frame?... do like the progression from defined to less defined with the 3

Saludos
