I have to agree with Bastian on the shadow on top - it is distracting but this can be corrected in post-processing. Overall this is a very very nice image. Larger size would be just great. Also a little thinner black border (without the white line) would be better - this one is too heavy.

I love the minimal composition and works very well for this particular theme.

I like minimalist shots and I really like this image. I think the black shadow at the top gives the image a completely different feel. With the shadow there is a slightly ominous feeling. Without it, the feeling would be different, maybe one of calm isolation or quiet.

I like the framing and the shadow of the tree stretching across the frame.

I don't know what the vantage point was but it might also have been interesting to see the tree's shadow stretching away from the larger shadow in the top left, like it was trying to escape.

That's my interpretation anyway.

I think this is a beautiful shot. I love the texture in the snow. I agree that the shadow at the top as well as the thick black border are a little distracting, but well done!

This picture gives me a zen feeling, the long shadow is great. The top shadow is a bit disturbing, maybe you can crop it.

I personnally like the top shadow because it had a bit of perspective to the shot. The composition is nice.

The composition and use of light is great. I enjoyed the comparison of the two types of shadows (soft and sharp).
