I really like the composition of this, but to my eyes, this looks over-processed. I'm sure there are others who would disagree... It's probably a matter of personal taste.

For what it's worth, I'd personally keep the same effects, but just step them back a little so that the scene gets a little closer to reality.

Regardless of my nitpicking I definitely see this as a high quality image.

Amazing image! To be able to get the ceiling and the dramatic sky in is awesome. Love it!

charmarie (Char) added a critique 1 year ago:

I think this is a great image and the sky makes it look really dramatic.

trancho (Bob Trancho) added a critique 1 year ago:

Beautiful composition though I'm a bit perplexed as to how there is sunlight at one end of the field yet the sky seems completely overcast. Is this an HDR shot?

SeekingFocus (Jason Langley) added a critique 1 year ago:

I already voted for this image a few times, so I'm glad to critique it as well.

It's a really great composition, very high impact and well seen. The processing is a bit intense, I might back off it just a bit, but overall it really fits the scene and the mood here.

cool one - typically hdr. some like this kind of treatment, some don't. i do! ;-)

philippe (Philippe Reichert) added a critique 1 year ago:

Like Brandon said, image manipulation is a matter of taste. I like that because it adds a dramatic intensity. I don't really understand the purists. After all, photographers have always been manipulating their images. Even a B&W print from a negative demands manipulation. Or you also can have it printed in a machine...

Interesting shot. I like it!

lots of detail, great framing of field and sky, nice sight lines - well done

Normally I would think the tone mapping (i presume?) was a bit too much, but with this subject I think it works really well..

Love the view and angle here..

bluesforshoes (Jeremiah Gilbert) added a critique 1 year ago:

Wonderful angle. I agree with Brandon that it might be a little too over-processed, or at least looks like it. Also, it's a bit too much of the same grey for me. That said, it still is a striking photo.

Very cool shot, nice clearity and colour. Good DOF.

Through its unreality, this shot conveys something of the magic of the game of baseball - very special image!

Best,
Jon
