Hey, thanks Jon!! This was a special day for light, early November, last year. I got several good shots that day. This was taken at the Huntington Library Cactus Gardens in San Marion, CA.

Beamer, I really liked this the moment I saw it. Everything important is tack sharp. The really interesting thing for me, the moment I saw it, I thought of the Huntington Gardens...which is unusual because I last saw the gardens about 20 - 25 years ago. Nice to see that they are keeping everything looking sharp (pun intended).
Great colors and the 3/4 back lighting is effective.

This is really nice. The lighting, the colors, the focal length, the dof, almost everything. What I feel uneasy about is that two corners of the triangle of cactii is cut.

Good colours - check! Great light - check! Strong composition - check! Interesting subject - check! The only (and this is very, very minor) negative that I can think of there is the inclusion of those pesky leaves in the right of frame. Great inclusion to this topic, Clyde.

What else can I say !? Superb lighjting and great subject Clyde - they really look like a plain and welded family ;-) - what I like most here I think is the kind of "extraterrestrial" feel to it and color harmony !! Congrats, I'm sure it will be featured !

Try, some day, make this photo a little bit contrast in PS (level (poin of white & black)), also You can make it more saturationed!

The backlighting gives a great glow to the cacti
