Being a real novice, I am so out of my league when it comes to commenting on your photos. They are so well done and memorable. They make me think and wonder...it's like they tell a story. I can only learn from them and have no constructive criticism. I like that the subject is on the right, that the hearts seem to go right and the man is looking to my right. Thank you for a great lesson.

Thanks so much for you thoughts - greatly appreciated, I assure you. If nothing else, critique from the heart - I don't like it - I'm not sure why. I love this - it moves me in some way - again...not sure why. In time, your ability to offer constructive criticism on a more technical level will improve, and you can then be boring like the rest of us:-)

Best,
Jon

Love the processing, love the content. Really a great photo. Great that he's looking away and thoughtful.
The slant/slope could probably be dealt with, but some people like that distortion!

Ana,

The slant/slope question was a slippery slope for me with this shot. It's an easy straighten - to be sure - but there's a dynamic that's achieved through the slight diagonol that I preferred over a more static and straight approach. I may be crazy, however.

I really like the feel of his photo,I look at the and feel sadness...but then see the hearts and get a feeling of hope, beutifully well done! And by the way, I like the slant :)

Jon,

Very well seen and shot. Was it random that the subject was there? It might also look well in black and white too. Kudos.

@Noah - thanks!
@koo - it popped just a little more in sepia. This was set up a little bit. This fellow is the lead guitar player for a band i am photographing next week (promo shots etc.) He agreed to go with me to check out lighting and shadows before the band shoot.

Me gusta la inclinación, el pensamiento y los corazones,y no me gusta parte sucia de encima en la pared enladrillada. Felicidades.
