I think without this effect and a little bit less of the tree it could be a nice picture.

I'm also interested in post-processing (especially HDR), so I like any attempt to explore new possibilities and techniques.
A typical defect in this kind of photos is the "Halo effect" that appears around object (in your case around the tree). It makes everything more irreal, and in almost any case it doesn't add anything to the photo.
While in your case it is not very evident, it is anyway a but disturbing.

While I quite like the post-processing effect on the water and tree, I feel that it would have benefited from a more selective process to avoid the halo effect around the coast/tree and to see a clear division between water and mountains.
Nicely done. Keep experimenting.
juanantonio (J.A. Pellicer) said 1 year ago:

why all the post-processing? it's overdone for me, would be a nice picture without the processing
juanantonio (J.A. Pellicer) said 1 year ago:

Take care to not exagerate easy process or tcheap filter. It's never give a good result.

I think that without so much of the colour saturation (or any colour at all) this would be quite nice.

Sorry, but this post-processing is too overdone for me I'm afraid. The composition might work when more detail is visble.
