Great shot! but maybe just a bit more of those lights at the bottom... get a base of it... not saying it would make it better... just wondering if it would add to it maybe...

I love the choice of only colorizing the water. Bold move and it works here.

I guess I disagree with most of the others except for cvsuave. The DOF immediately draws your attention to the ring followed by a second attraction to the heart shadow. I think it awesome just like it is.

I like the palm in there, but might rotate a bit to the left, so your hand is flat?
Otherwise it's pretty dang cool.
pao_alfonso (Pao Alfonso) added a critique 30 days ago:
i think it's a nice use of selective coloring. i agree with the comments about the palm, though.
erinelizzybeth (Erin) added a critique 20 days ago:
I love the detail of the fingerprints and how the ring is in colour and the heart shadow. But i agree with above about the palm being a bit of a distraction. But overall i really like it.

I recognize this photo! I recently read an article in one of my many Photography magazines - showing how to do this image. Well done! I would crop out some of the foreground though to give the ring more prominence in the photo.

OK, you can't wrap it around a leaf, maybe a branch... Way too early in the morn to be typing accurately!

Great exposure level, the light levels are well balanced too.

love this
Olegslayer added a critique 1 month ago:
I would say that this is an amazing photo, but the only thing that is distracting is the blown out leaf in the center. I am surprised at how clearly this shot came out considering the circumstances, but I feel like you can get away with the top leaves being slightly overexposed, but the leaf in the center is a bit distracting and almost noisy.
paddlepunk (Holger Neu) added a critique 19 days ago:
okey it isnt easy to make good water photos, but i think it should have been longer or shorter exposed. longer to make it smoother, and shorter to make the water clearer, i think this would look the best, if the water would look clearer

Excellent image, great post processing. Only the shadows of the wires are a bit disturbing.
pao_alfonso (Pao Alfonso) said 29 days ago:
thank you for the comment, bastian. i shot the photo while the sun was really harsh, it was late afternoon, i think. could I have set my camera settings differently to make the shot better?
Bastian (Bastian Löhrer) added a critique 28 days ago:
Oh I see. The only thing you could have done was choosing a different angle, so the sheadows were more obvious to be dropped by the sun.
pao_alfonso (Pao Alfonso) said 28 days ago:
that makes sense. thank you. :)
Bastian (Bastian Löhrer) added a critique 26 days ago:
It's still a really good image though.
