the eyes are very strong.

ArneG (Arne Gulstene) said 1 year ago:

Yes I agree about the eyes comment as above - that was what caught my attention first as well

Very powerful...........images such as these are what defines the modern artist.

Unusual. Perhaps a little too much empty space than is required. It leaves me wanting to see more, but perhaps that is the purpose? The space works better for me when the image is rotated counter-clockwise.

This is a pleasing image though. Well done.

I agree with Jamie...a little too much empty space. The colors and detail are wonderful, would love to see more.

Perhaps when Brandon offers the before/after features I will upload some other versions. You know when you get tired of looking at a photo? This is one of those for me :) Thanks for the kind comment though. Good to see that it is still getting views.

I have to agree with BioLarzen...;-) Excellent shot.

Wonderful!!! He looks unbelievably

Congrats on the feature Jamie. Well deserved.

psychodudu (Andrew Parker) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is a little too "warts an all" in terms of lighting. A little retouching wouldn't go amiss. It's a cheeky little image though, and is deserving of it's feature status.

nice perspective. what is it?

duncmc (Duncan McMillan) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice textures, lighting and DoF. I would question the relevancy because for me the subject is the whole of the wood/metal/hook thing, even the bit that is out of the focal plane, so therefore it occupies most of the frame. Great image though.

Laurie (Laurie) added a critique 1 year ago:

The perspective is great...seems like it's upside down. The whole shot seems important so I don't know how minimalist it is.

inophoto (Jamie Adams) added a critique 1 year ago:

I agree with the comments above. For me it doesn't seem relevent - although it is a pleasant image.

Excellent. I have no idea how this is done. Was he stood really still or is it a combination of multiple exposures?

CraigMartin (Craig Martin) said 1 year ago:

Thanks for the comment. It is just a longish exposure (I can't recall how long, but probably 2 sec or so), and the two in the middle are standing still. I highligted them by desaturating everything else.

NobodySpecial (Michael) said 1 year ago:

Really nicely done.....captures the frenetic nature of modern life.

codystanley (Cody Stanley) said 1 year ago:

Very well done,
Almost like a 'Where's Waldo' but instead of a goofy scarved character you find a perfect expression of the topic.
Neat.

Great toning and good exposure ,

chasewhittemore (Chase Whittemore) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like the coloring on this one a lot.

manickavelu (velu) added a critique 1 year ago:

nice tone. i would've liked the background to be more out of focus (wider aperture?)

inophoto (Jamie Adams) added a critique 1 year ago:

I dunno. The theme description says: '..shots that really bring out the unique character of the subject'. I'm sure he's got a cracking smile amd it might have helped the image jump to life.

For me, the focus of the image is on his eyes. The flash has darkened these and this lessens the appeal of the shot. A portrait in natural light - near a window perhaps would really do him justice.

Thank you all for this comments. I'm new in digital photography, but I'm trying to do my best. I'll remember all your critiques to make better photo next time.
