Nice work - needs a little more breathing room on the bottom.
Best,

Really nice composition and details, needs room on the right and bottom though.

Thank you guys!
To be honest, I'm not sure about the focusing point choice. I have two more versions of this shot, one focusing on the out-most part of the ring, and the second focused on the smaller ring in the back. I was wondering if this version is alright for you, or do you think another one would work better :)
muensterpixel (Heiko Schreckenberg) added a critique 2 years ago:
I think focussing the smaller ring might get a new perspective and make it even more interesting - looking through the first ring getting the second sharp. Are those colours original? For me, it's a bit too red.
cezarl (Cezar Litu) said 2 years ago:
Yes, I did push the colors up a bit :)
Here's a link to the version with the smaller ring in focus, if anyone is bored enough to take a look :)

(I thought it better to post the link than to actually upload a new image)

Wow, to be honest with you I don't really care for the rust topic, but you have done a very beautiful job with it. Kudos to you..

The only critique in my opinion is there could be a little more negative space. other than that its perfect to the T. Amazing detail and colors.

awesome shot! great d.o.f and focal detail. have to agree i love the bubble blower's reflection! i think black and white was a great choice!
KerriDoodle (Kerri) added a critique 2 years ago:
Awesome picture - composition, clarity, reflection, dof and I also like the B&W
Very well done especially for capturing an event a that's not so easily controlled.

Couldn't be any more yellow. Nice movement in the frame from in focus to out of focus and good use of the softness to help with overall composition. Well done.
latekelem added a critique 2 years ago:
Yes, very yellow. But other than that nothing. Just some yellow mass, ice-cream, I'd suppose?
Thus, very yellow, but not very involving.
guilz (Guillaume Legraverend) said 2 years ago:
latekelem : not an ice-cream, a (yellow) flower !
Sonoma added a critique 2 years ago:
I think it has interesting texture. It just oozes softness. The light is good, color very vivid, I don't think "yellow mass" when I look at it. Nice.

Very nice, excellent focus on the central drop,
maybe some touch up of the overburn area on each side
could help

good work! like the blue and the drops in the middle
dreamer247 (Ben Godkin) added a critique 2 years ago:
Wonderful tones and composition.
I have always wanted to do a shot like this. Can you explain your setup.
guilz (Guillaume Legraverend) said 2 years ago:
Thanks for your comments !
dreamer247: I used a 5d+Sigma macro 150mm 2.8 APO+Flash+tripod+key. A bowl of water and a pipette. I tryed to adjuste the frequency of the drop and take the picture. The more difficult is to adjust the focus on the drop.
Cheers,
Guillaume

Belle composition ! J'aime beaucoup la lumière et la symétrie dans la mise en scène.
Pixim (Eric) said 2 years ago:
I like much; for the controlled photographic technique, the simple and direct composition, and for the reflexions which this image bring me. Thank you for this shared work.

i love hdr-pics but i never get any good one, greetz ! very good atmosphere!
dcannaday added a critique 2 years ago:
The clarity is so wonderful. I love the colors, but agree that maybe a tighter crop would really bring the image into focus.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 2 years ago:
I agree bout the cropping, but be sure to keep the star!! Not sure this really looks like HDR?? But it is nicely exposed.
diezel99 added a critique 2 years ago:
Very nice and clear capture. I disagree about the cropping comments, I feel the wide darkness adds to the impact of buildings......nicely done!!
guilz (Guillaume Legraverend) added a critique 2 years ago:
I think the bottom of the picture is too dark - The lens flare are too bright.
I don't think it was shot as HDR...perhaps it would help to enhance this picture.

WHACK!!!!!!
Okay, the fibers seem more in focus than the arachnid.
You sure got close to it!!
paddlepunk (Holger Neu) added a critique 2 years ago:
i like the detail in the red eyes... looks even moire ugly than normal ;) (that was meant positve)
mikeock (Mike Adams) added a critique 2 years ago:
Might be fitting under the scary topic also.
Great shot but i think the focus is a bit off.
Should be more on the spider than the fibers!
marcouet52 (Mario Arcouette) added a critique 2 years ago:
Mikeock said it all on this one.
guilz (Guillaume Legraverend) added a critique 2 years ago:
The fibers are to sharped for me, not enough blured.
I think the picture is too dark.
With a colorized background perhaps better.
Guillaume
Nice shot !
Perhaps to 'border line' on the right side (the ring is croped) - I think it should have be better if more zoom out.
Cheers,
Guillaume
