The focus seems a bit soft in this one. I think branches do better when they are really crisp. I like the silhouette treatment against the blue sky.

Nothing special to me. The image is sharper on the top than on the bottom. It seems like you took the focus on the trunk and then pulled the camera up. Or the wind messed up with the rather long exposure time. :)
However I don't particularly like this one, because it simply gives nothing to me. To answer your question: The main subject seems to be the tree, so I'd file it in the "Trees" topic. ;) However since the tree is the subject you could have worked it out better by going a bit more to the right - the forest in the background and to the right distracts the eye. The same goes for the clouds in the lower left and the two, three small ones on the right. They look a bit like fingerprints on the lens - nasty stuff! X)
Maybe the image would have been a bit more interesting too if you had catched some rays of the evening light in the leaves - don't know.
