Really cool capture with great DoF.....leaves me yearning for the rest of the cup to complete the shot.

Great photo, I feel like I can touch this cup ;)
I think you should either choose no background at all and leave it white or have more background behind a cup...

i like it, but the small grey part of the background is a bit disturbing, imho

Very nice... i think the it would be great if it was the full cup.... and a background color....

i think that is is ok that there isn something in the background, it would only disturb the atmosphere... and the shot is great! how often did you try to hit the splash?? ;) very nice

I like it with the white background i think this is what make it appear so 3d, as mention earlier a full cup could be interesting, another approach would be using this as panoramic just cropping over the upper drop, this photo as some commercial value white space can be use for info on brand ect.
At first look it just remind me of an old commercial
some may remember ( good to the last drop, Max... house).
Good work

I wonder what this might have looked like with a dark background.

This is nice, but it really leaves me wishing there was something in the background. The white space is kind of clashing wit the white cup, I think.
