The thumbnail looked quite unremarkable, but I like the shade of blue. Up close, it's a fabulous pic. The different shades of blue are absolutely gorgeous!

Very nice... i think the it would be great if it was the full cup.... and a background color....

nice try :)

i think that is is ok that there isn something in the background, it would only disturb the atmosphere... and the shot is great! how often did you try to hit the splash?? ;) very nice

I like it with the white background i think this is what make it appear so 3d, as mention earlier a full cup could be interesting, another approach would be using this as panoramic just cropping over the upper drop, this photo as some commercial value white space can be use for info on brand ect.
At first look it just remind me of an old commercial
some may remember ( good to the last drop, Max... house).
Good work

I wonder what this might have looked like with a dark background.

Wow. Excellent use of minimalism in the extreme. I agree with the observation about the green cast, but it doesn't get in the way of the image as a whole.

Love the minimalistic approach here - the detail in the water splash is excellent!

thanks. i didn't see the green cast, when i uploaded this one. it would be fairly easy to remove, but i'm going to leave it like it is.
the white in this photo is real, there is no photoshop involved. the "background" for this picture was a softbox with the bright white as a result.

Brilliant Gerrit. I had to look really hard on my screen to see the edge. Great timing with this shot.

Great shot! The water splash comes out great. The water level looks a bit artificial to my eye, but I am not sure,...have to scrutinize a glass of water to be more certain ;-)

Hah... now that's quite amusing. Very nicely done.

I love it! It could also work well for the "scary" theme. :) No offense meant to the dental profession.
Topher (Christopher Mueller) said 1 year ago:
Brilliant. Someone took the theme / topic very literally.

Heh, yeah... This is actually "in your face."
