I think this is beautiful minus the bowl as said .. very well composed ,beauitful light.. very pretty shot.

aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) said 1 year ago:

Thanks Lindy.

Did (Didier Toulouze) added a critique 1 year ago:

Great composition and DOF, I like the idea and the result very much.
Before reading the other comments I asked myself "why a bowl ?" I don't think you should remove it without replacing it by something else. As already said, the reflection in the little bottle is cool.

(sorry for my poor english).

It's nice to see the different shades of yellow all in one picture. Great shot!!

Nice atmosphere, great light!
Almost looks tilt-shifted / miniature ...

thoughtdujour (thought du jour) said 1 year ago:

how happy you must have been to get that red roof in the photo, to have the mist only in the back, and then to have the sunlight in the foreground!

Either you must be really lucky or you camped there till you got this great light!

Either way, congratulations!

eli (Elijah Woolery) said 1 year ago:

Wow, so crisp you can feel the frost, excellent capture! Almost feels like a model...

KidJim (Jean Marc Veliscek) said 1 year ago:

This image is just only sublime -

Neuner said 1 year ago:

I love the sharpness & feeling you captured. It's hard to relate the grade of slope in a photo without a vertical reference but you've pulled it off nicely. Everything about it makes it a favorite for me.

what I really like of this photo is the point of view, is so different, I like a lot.

ArneG (Arne Gulstene) said 1 year ago:

This was taken with a Mamiya C330 on expired film.

kitaoka (Mark Kitaoka) said 1 year ago:

Arne, what are the dots on the vertical right hand side of the image?

ArneG (Arne Gulstene) said 1 year ago:

The marks seem to match the pressure plate from the camera. I shoot expired film - maybe that is the issue.

forgingahead (Bob Foss) said 1 year ago:

Really like this shot a lot Arne. Great colors and a nice subject too.

Lovely. The ghostly water is excellent. It looks like ghostly hands carressing the rocks.

Thanks Daniel! If anyone is interested in checking out a somewhat humorous related image, check out the original post here and scroll down:

This is an absolutely breathtaking shot!!
Nice job.

stunning!

Neuner said 1 year ago:

I think this is an excellent composure. The swirling waves have sortof a bokeh effect and make the starfish the star of the show. Wonderful.

Great idea ! Is it on a car ?

forgingahead (Bob Foss) said 1 year ago:

Yes, a rental I had a few weeks ago while in Tennessee...came out one morning to find nicely beaded water all over the car.

The petals flowing upward creates a nice motion, almost like wind is blowing up the petals like clothes in the summer breeze
