If there was some interesting object in the middle, it would be more interesting.

The colors and composition of this are very nice. I especially love the colors. The blur is nice too, but I think I might have positioned it differently within the frame. I am assuming this was done with a Lensbaby or tilt-shift lens. I think with these lens the blur can be used to lead the eye into the frame, or to lead us to the subject.
In this image I think the blur should have lead our eye up the hill to the castle ruins; and would have been better positioned in the lower right corner. However, I still like this image because the colors are so very cheerful.

Lovely colors and interesting blur

Nice lensbaby action right there. I like how the castle is actually not in focus. The colors of the sky and flowers are very intense.
I should take out my little lensbaby for this topic!

Did you use the Lensbaby? The effect is very nice

Thanks for all the comments – this was taken with a Lensbaby Original.
I do like the colours, and I kinda liked the fact that there was no obvious subject, but I wasn't sure whether that worked. Opinion seems to be divided.

Nice seletive blur!
